If the closed fields remain closed, then 84, 101, 102 and 106 should already be closed. All three locations were closed by the IJN in earlier frames.

Again, if closed fields remain closed, radar coverage is radically different than depicted on my planning map.
The only axis radar south of the X,5 line would be from F69, F70 and F94, or from a CV.
We would have dar coverage around Port Moresby, Milne Bay and Goodenough Island (F96).

The closest axis airfield in New Guinea would be F66 up in the 1,6 grid.

Isn't 84 the DAR, not 94?

77 is also red and has full DAR coverage of our fields....

also 108 is now red, but I believe is for Buffs only...so they could launch a full-on buff strike against Port Moresby from there....

I've emailed Kacey as to what fields are red and if they have NME DAR. I'll post info when I hear back from him.

I'm also wondering if given what the 4th is tasked with, if we could launch from 105 and run right up the coast and hit our targets, then rtb F91?

F84 is the coastwstcher. F94 is an artillery post, but it has a RdrStn object that provides radar coverage. The coast watcher was previously closed, but the artillery has never been closed
Nooky, I too have sent an email to kacey and asked him to post confirmation of field status in the general forum

RGR thanks... I could have a few split off and hit it, then regroup..

Humm, I'm still a bit confused with how kacey/S3 command is setting up the fields.
If the practice arena is correct for field ownership, then closed fields switched sides (as per his original email). However, I am unsure about what fields will be open. Are fields previously closed still closed (i.e. no flight enabled and/or all structures destroyed)?

Adding comments to what Kacey told Nooky
77 no dar - only true if field is closed (structures destroyed) as there is a RdrStn object there.
83 no dar - there are no RdrEmit or RdrStn objects there, so no radar regardless of field status. Is it open?
94 no dar - This field has never been closed, and has a RdrStn, so it should have dar (unless he meant to type 84, in which case it would have to be closed)
101 dar - this is a coastwatcher, and would only have dar if the field was open.
102 no dar - does not have a RdrStn or RdrEmit, so would never provide dar, but is the field open or closed?
106 no dar - same as 102

We (and the axis too) need clarity as it will significantly affect tactics and scoring!
