it was a murderous bitch but our pilots did what needed to be done.

Initial attack on 116 appeared to be successful as most objects were destroyed before the Luftwaffe got there. Much stronger force here initially so the return for closure had to wait for a break in LW coverage. Out west the initial attack by 4th bombers was diverted due to enemy activity in the area. 4th fighters were ordered to be part of the eastern attack so we were not able to jump right in with escort. Eventually the enemy found the bombers as they were running back to the friendly AA. 4th fighters were returned to the area and other squads joined in to cover the DR as they went in NOE to hit the airfield 99.

4th bombers joined in with DR and we had multiple squads for escort. the battle slowly built in the west as all LW consolidated in the area. Bombers hit the airfield with good results, though some were hitting 98 to the south for some reason. Many individuals went above and beyond and eventually closed the airfield forcing the LW to rebase much further away. Meanwhile the middle of the map opened up and several squads were able to finish off 116 and hit nearby fields.

the meatgrinder was taking down allied pilots at a fierce rate, but again many individuals rose to the occasion and sacrificed themselves to close 102 thereby opening a path for capture to 99. Late evening strikes were conducted on 114 and were successful in closing that base also. I'd like to thank all squads for taking the initiative and putting their lives on the line. Big salute to Muzz who was everywhere destroying what needed to be wherever it was.

Looks like we closed F99, F102, T116, T114
don't know what the points will look like as we paid a heavy price.

p38g was despised by EVERY pilot who flew it. they came apart with one hit. Many AA deaths also. Some testing was conducted by Robert after the frame and we are waiting for the results to see if there is some reason for the fragility of the Lightnings. My guess is that there is something about the LW cannons in conjunction with some settings with the damage model and how it is multiplied. (NOTE: my assumptions are wild speculation and are not based on any knowledge at all)

I wouldn't bother to fly the P38 as is right now.

Frame 2 CO humbly requests that the fighter squads have their P38G models replaced with the rumored L model.... 8-)

Good frame Coolon.

Deak & Yukone were very high with Muzz and the LW were afraid to play, since the Spit is faster over 25.000' Kept mant Lw from having a high bounce om 116.
Muzz was a hero in the frame putting the final hit on 99 & 114. He went alone! :)

BAH!
I just reviewed the intel pre-frame, remembered the frame CO's intent, paid attention to the buffer and did what needed to get done.
I also really badly failed to keep clearing my 6 on my last sortie.

If we want to win frame 3, then we all, er, some, or maybe just a few, need to invest a little bit of time before T+0.

Respectfully,
