4th launched 4 sets of B-25 and 1 P-38 heavy NOE from 161 to hit 102. GCI indicated LW attack heading to 106 in our way so we reversed and headed south to stay clear. As LW appeared to RTB from attacking 106 we headed back north to 102 but were jumped by LW still in the area and lost one buff. We then headed south to join the DRs in hitting 99. We actually drew several LW away from the DRs to aid in their attack to the loss of our buffs. In the meantime, we had launched 8 spits to provide cover for the NOE strike on 116. The spits helped draw the LW to them and continued to retrograde rather than engage early on. Eventually, we all came up with various fighters and engaged the LW low altitude in the vicinity of 105. With the closing of 99 the LW cover lessened enough that we eventually got into 102 with enough bombs to close it. Some of the 4th also hit 114. Of note is the extreme fragility of the P-38. Something is wrong and we will avoid using it until fixed or replaced.
