Gentlemen,
352nd Took off from 29 immediate NOE to the south. The goal of reaching our beleaguered troops at Dieppe before the dreaded hun arrived was desperate on our minds.
Yet, as usual, alas, we could not move fast enough.
Initial contacts were 35 miles from the goal and we attempted to move toward the contact and found that is was less distance tot he ships and split to do both.
Flying pencils (the enemy worst aircraft and the one only dunces are to drive) were the favorite of the morning.
Many fell to the short belts of our spits and much ship damage made.
During the long engagement some 190s and other escorts arrived with zombies in them.
Fuel and ammo low caused a rtb.

Sortie 2 and on:
egress support and attempts to disrupt enemy take off and forming were needed so some went deep into the continent see if a disruption could be done.
Some success in this area was met and action was very high. Many claims at this time.

Many returned at O'Dark Thirty.
