S3 Series

Command has issued targets for this week's Mission.
We are to destroy key Ball Bearing facilities as well as an Aluminum production plant and an Avionics complex.

This will be a difficult task as we need a lot of bombs on target to put these all out of action.
Further difficulties are compounded by the distance needed to reach these targets.
A Maximum Effort has been called for and we will NOT disappoint!

TARGETS (3) Facilities near Leipzig (#1 #2 & #3) as well as the Avionics near Kassel (#4)
target priority is by their number



There will only be one mission tonight (unless time is available after the first) 2hr+
Bombers will fly the B-24 with 8x1000 lb bombs. (possibility of taking 1600 lb bombs)
we need 8 bombers to make it work so I'd like to see 12 - 14 if possible in buffs.
I will lead the bomb group other volunteers are needed as Darryl will be out of town so the DR numbers are unknown.

All fighter squads will be tasked with escort. We need to stay tight and travel far.
Airframes are by squad choice, just remember the distance we need to go (may need the P51 first)

4th FG Middle Top Buff Group Center
352nd FG North (left) Front Buff Group Front
23rd FG South (right) Buff Group Center
8th FG You are freelance any position you wish to attach or roam

OVERVIEW
Bombers will fly from 58 due north for 2 minutes then turn East.
Turning to avoid flak concentrations we will head South East then East to target.
After the 3 targets in Leipzig we will turn right and come back west to make the Kassel run if applicable.

You only need 1 direct hit per building using 1000 lb bomb. you have a total of 56 buildings for 4 targets. If ya got 8 guys that's a total of 64 bombs not counting ai helping out. Last week 3 guys in b-17's ( 2nd sorte) with 6 bombs apc took out 14 targets at two targets.
I'll fly buffs with yas.
