We are at a major disadvantage the first sortie, as it was for real.
After a lot of consideration I've come to the conclusion that not much planning can be done. It is going to be a frame of: do this if that happens. I'll try to make the best of it and give updates to the dar picture often. I'll be using the normal format of: they are at 8.2x, 7.2.5. etc.

First Sortie:
352nd - F 11
AE - F 16
23rd - F12
All airframes MUST take 100% fuel.

All first sortie basing may change if the radar picture warrants it.
You can land at any available field afterwards.

When you encounter the enemy I/we need location, altitude and a/c types reported ASAP.
Be flexible and don't over commit a/c, other Axis will probably soon follow.

If engaging low, keep some high if possible.
Kill as many bombers as safely possible but try to stay alive first sortie, we need the P40’s for the second wave of enemy sure to come. DO NOT SADDLE UP on these bombers, smart passes please!

Stay flexible, I'll do my best to describe the radar picture as it develops and to direct our forces.
Replane quickly and grab for the second wave sure to come.

IF they all come in a wave first sortie, we will have the time between attacks to reload and grab hard. Headings to climb/patrol will be given.

It is possible that a few pilots will be asked to scout for their fleet at some point.

If/when you are down to flying the swordfish report in to me for instructions.

Any penalty planes please report to me before first sortie.

The rest of the frame orders will be decided as the frame progresses.

<S> See you Sunday!

Some Frame Info:

If the rules are followed the Axis should have a fair number of penalty planes (vals), which they have to fly all 3 lives in. Thus Axis escorts should be lighter in numbers, a plus. Of course that means there will be more vals which can only carry bombs, another possible plus only if we can stop them from dropping or dropping accurately.

We can not protect our radar with the assets at hand.

There should only be 8 kate pilots or so flying unless the DR's show up in numbers. Thus torpedo planes will should be limited.

There is very little ack on the island, but there will be ai ships in the harbor. Ack is turned down 50% this frame and will only be good for marking the enemy I suspect.
