S3 Series

Well, I think it was another good frame.

Sortie #1, we had a spread set of targets we were going after. Plan was to hit F71 (15pts?), F78 (9pts), F73 (2pts), and F72 (6pts). I fully expected not to be able to get them all and have targets for return trips. As we approached drop point, the Buff's were jumped by 109's. B25 guns took down several and the escort swatted away the rest. We lost 3 pilots and a couple AI, GREAT JOB ESCORTS! After Sortie #1, we have everything down except 1 BB at the port and 1 bridge span. On egress a fighter got the bridge. Great Job!

Sortie #2, was a little less aggressive a task. Plan was to hit F34 (2pts) and F33 (15pts). We had a lot of buffs and easily took out all targets. Escorts kept the Buffs clean. not sure if we lost anyone. maybe one or two. Cool and I took the bridge out easily and still had bombs. Well, in the NS style, we went looking for trouble.

I had declared a couple "optional" targets figuring late arrivals or someone (especially if we were in the Mossi) with time could hit them. So cool and I headed south away from the rest of the buff group. Cool and I still had 3 bombs. On the way to 70, I swung in to F71 and killed the last ship and then headed to 70. I dropped my last bomb on one of the ships but took out the dock. Cool, right behind took out both ships at F70 (4 or 6pts) and I dropped and turned to the bridge. I straffed down the north span and cool dropped on the south span at F68 (2pts). We headed west to RTB. I was NOE and Cool was at 15K. I managed to kick up (2) 109's. Although =weis= got some hits, JLord got me. As they AX were climbing up to Cool they unexpectedly broke off and headed home. I assume they thought we were coming back up north or that we had fighters just off DAR. Not sure.

Frame end, we got everything. Not as many points as last frame but I think we did well.

Frame 5 will be more difficult. Running out of consolidated targets. Spread out we die. may have to go deep LOL.

Great escort, they sacrifice so the buffs can live and get to target. Tough job!
