Southern Target Area

Bomb Group check out these targets:
RRR - E of 131 Bridges (1.0 point per span)
SSS - anchored Shipping 2.0 pts/boat, 3.0 pts/cargo, 4.0 pts/DD
QQQ - SE of 132 Railway tunnels 4 pts per entrance (sub pen target)

Fighters familiarize with:
ZZ - E of 135 Bridge 1.0 pt per span can be strafed.
YY - SW of 99 Bridge 1.0 pt per span can be strafed.

Not making these orders yet, just giving some ideas for targets and perhaps targets of opportunities for fighters to strafe.

Attack zz from SE to avvoid AAA on inbound from NW.
Attack YY from North, No AAA. I'd hit YY first then head towards ZZ overland from the East to attack from SE and run post target out to sea.

RCAF CAN BE TASKED IN THE TYPHOON FOR STRIKE DUTY. Once we strike we can sort of escort but this is not a turn fighter.

Salute! Cheerio! Heh! ( for Beaver)

My view is we have a Gorrilla at the boat fest - 126, 128 14 freekeeng boats and some are big points!! Plus bridge spans. That is tgt "SSS" and the bridges at "RRR", aka 131

- concentrates the effort and LW has to respond in force from their other CAP orbits and fields. The best news for the LW is they can stay in HHQ and move to close fields ( teleporting legal for that move). OTOH, the LW lite swine would have to play Monopoly for a half an hour and it is a well known fact ( 97% consensus by psych scientists) that lites have short attention spans.

- Allies have knowledge of where "the action" will be for most of the frame. As the Little Friends will have to fly for 15 or 20 minutes, they won't have to deal with ADD mental problems as the LW swine

Gums has to evaluate the ack and such, but in a tgt rich environment, the otto ack is generally less effective than when a two-ship attacks by itself.

So I throw the idea on the table and will fly a profile using the S3 settings ASAP, then report back.

Just an FYI gums... the only boats we can hit are the ones at 128.. 126 was a target in frame 1 and is thereby not eligible.

I think there is a capital ship in the river between the bridge spans that is included in our target list.

I'm thinking that hitting at altitude is the best idea here... for all the buff targets. we can run a regular escorted mission.
Fighter squads please chime in on how best to do this. I'm thinking of having a meeting area off the coast ... west north west of the target area.. buffs gather and circle there... fighters set up what is needed... perhaps a forward sweep and or just a patrol of the area between the target and the loiter area. Buffs give the "in position" report and the fighters say when to go. Buffs leave in two groups... second higher by a little. first group hits bridges and or ships... second group finishes primary targets and then hits sub pens further in...

fighter squads please chime in on how things should work from your point of view.

Perhaps we have a few sweep and then hit bridges in the north east on their way out to add some distraction??? but I don't want them as a sacrificial lamb.

I will try to have something posted for sure tonight (Friday) or Saturday morning so please add your thoughts and suggestions.

Salute!

Tanks for update, Cool, forgot about the 126 tgt last week.

128 boats a bit easier as 88 ack not as close. Have to get a good picture, as boats are not all spread out and we need to "divide and conquer".

I took out a span with one x 1000 pounder, and I closed a tunnel with one 2000 pounder using a delay fuse and dropping really low and close.

We can still get points for the King at the harbor. The tunnels could be great for a sneaky second attack, but you will be on dar a long time as terrain is high there. Only one 40mm ack at each tunnel, BTW

Later,

For fighters, give us a RZ and Alt and we will be there. Once joined (off DAR) Buffs and FTRs head to target and FTRs will set up a sweep forward of BUFFs and keep a few of us with the formation through egress.
For second sorty, please depay your launch until FTRs have RTBed and are ready.

according to the dar pdf that jabo put out there is no radar coverage over the target areas. (thanks to them being taken out in frame 1)

Salute!

Looks like we hit F128, right? It is south of the canal.

I tried putting drones in front by 1000 feet and ordering attack on ack. It worked.

Incorrect, the DAR at 136 covers the ships and the rest of the targets.
