It was a bit chaotic in the first 60min. The AI's didn't start and our timing was all off. I think we lost a bunch of Hurri's and Spits to not spreading their forces. However, this made the AI Wellington attacks very effective. We closed both F6 and F18, so the Germans must now fly from the continent! We did lose F35, but F33 remains intact for a forward base to reach the front in the next frame. I believe we took at about a dozen AI Ju88 and at least a dozen Panzers! I think we lost about 3 ships I dont think we lost any Wellingtons I think our lower-altitude dog fights were an advantage to us! Next frame we will focus on closing their beachhead port (Dover) and take-on their ground forces. I see us fighting 109s / LW bombers with our Spits, while Hurri's attack the tank columns. I'd like to use a similar AI Wellington attack that floods the defenses from different directions and hits Dover. This should be timed to occur when the 109s are low on fuel/ammo. Thanks all for your sacrifices - I know we lost a lot in the low level fights. Thanks to Noflyz and Jabo for making my AI plan work, and dewolf for posting the target maps! Can we get a similar target map for the Dover area for frame 3? |

Lots targets at the Axis port. Lots guns also. Required target map to follow. F-1 Associated Power Plant About half a dozen 88mm that don't show on this chart Very nice job on Frame 2, Sir. <S> You managed to get the LW based where they belong. Considering later accomplishments, it's just amazing that it took the entire RAF to destroy three Quonset hangars, a house, and a couple of revetments. |

I know jabo posts information etc about what targets required etc somewhere. I can translate that info into, how many bombs mg rounds etc it takes to kill a given object. example being those reventments are actually hanger objects and they require 3500 points to kill and that our 250 gp bombs inflict 480 points of damage (if its a direct hit) therefore it takes 8 direct hits to kill said hanger, more if your missing by a few feet. |

Terrain Objects List shows how much damage each object requires. "Somewhere" "dot show" in the S3 arena, when in the tower, produces a pop-up box which contains an Object Target (OT) list with the object's id description followed by a three digit code . If the last three digits happen to begin with a "1", it is a Required Target. Aircraft Hanger Wolf Note: It takes a whole lot of work by our Janitors for the players to just show up on Sunday and fly. |

F-1 Targets NW to SE View. Everything in the pic but the "Cathedral" in the center and the dock cranes are Required Targets. Basically, if you can see it, it is a Required Target. Well protected. There are more than twice as many required targets at the two F-1 support areas than the Allies were able to destroy in Frame 2. There are more than 30 Required Targets at the Port itself. |

Piece of cake. We only need approx. 325 250 lb bombs on target with no misses. |

We're not closing it with Hurribombers. What loadout do the wellingtons have by default? |

Just checked - the Wellington1C carries 18 x 250# bombs... We have 4 groups of 8. ASSUMING they all make it to target and can hit. That would be 4 x 8 x 18 = 576 eggs... We would be in the ballpark... |

An alternate thought would be to let Dover wither... take out the supplying ports: 1. F3 Dunkirk 2. F53 Calais 3. F55 Baoulonge-Sur-Mer Do you think these would each be easier to close? I think they have fewer targets each... Use NOE Wellington attack approaching over the water. Focus Hurris on ground forces and Spitfires on cover & LW assaults. |

If you guys think it would make sense to go after alternate supply route targets... Here's a notional bomber plan to get two of the 3 ports. Each attack uses 16 Wellingtons (16 x 18 bombs = 288): Target F55: AI #1: 8 Wellingtons. Launch F7. NOE to 8,5x. Turn to target. Start pop 5mi out of F55 on WEP. Egress NOE SSW 20mi, WEP off, then RTB NOE direct. AI #2: Same as AI#1, delayed 2min. Target F3: AI #3: 8 Wellingtons. Launch F47. NOE to 11,9x. Turn to target. Start pop 5mi out of F3 on WEP. Egress NOE N 20mi, WEP off, then RTB NOE direct. AI #4: Same as AI#3, delayed 2min |
