Salute!

My personal opinion is to let the Stalkers and Nomads "do their thing", and use those big Libs from Okinawa to kill lottsa ground tgts, focusing upon those piers and such at the ports.

Our escort was decent last frame, but with the "practice" they shouls be lots better this Sunday.

The Stalkers and Nomads can lurch from Naha or whereever and stay below DAR, then pop and do some harm on boats, where we have been getting lottsa points.

I was wondering with ships worth 8pts each if we should be swarming those... are those for ships sailing? Not sure where they would be..

Did we do all our AI routines from land on previous frames? Did anyone try a CV based AI bomber group? It might allow us to spread enemy defenses out more if they come in from another direction and strike a different portion of the islands with human flown bomber groups.

13. Allied AI Bomber Missions - The US frame CO must assign one AI bomber mission each frame to a specific target location. Three routines are USAAF from Okinawa and two are USN from the CV TF. Each is limited to the aircraft that are available in that particular frame. A series of AI routines will be launched during the frame and must be escorted and protected by the Allied forces. Human bombers may join in the attack or pick another target. Start times and altitudes will be indicated to the US frame CO so proper planning may occur. All aircraft in an AI routine are very easy to damage, they do not use the typical damage files of regular aircraft or attached drone aircraft using the CA login.

Based on what has been done in previous frames, We have one frame of AI B24 strikes and one frame of TBDc strikes left in this series.

I think the strike / buff groups can fly B24s in the last two frames.

if we look where they were hurt in points is it the shipping??? might they try to defend their shipping rather than hit the AI strikes?? I doubt it because of how easy the AI falls from the sky.

it might be worth the effort to go AI ship hunting, but not knowing where they might be has led us to hit the known static ships. Perhaps it's time to look for moving AI ships?? Whether we fly B-25s or TBDcs off the carrier.....

I'm open to trying something different.

(I'm away for work until late friday)

One B24J and one TBF-1C AI mission left. They both fall out of the sky as easy just the B24s have more guns to defend with. I would be hesitant to use the B24s NOE. They are worth more points than B25s and getting them stuck on land would hurt more.
AI shipping can be attacked with bombs by fighters, static shipping and docks can be hit high by B24s. The AI B24s did well by hitting all those industrial targets at the city. They are big and take a number of bombs each but are close enough together for the fire storm effect.

We did a TBF AI strike in frame 1. Seemed to go well but the TBF is a duck. Timing would be critical to spread out the defenders. Maybe a fighter faint thrown in. Just say'n. $th will be happy to escort in eith Pony or F4. New pony is accurate model but kinda squirley.

Salute!

Good point Bomb-breath.

My thots are to use last AI Tubs for a mission in frame 4 and save the Libs for last frame.

Escorts for the naval raid could release and go help the human raids before RTB.

The buff folks could have both a B-24 and B-25 strike, and we can discuss this.

The Libs carry a lotta stuff, but the 100% fuel rule is killing them. So do not expect Libs at 25,000 feet for an hour or so after we start.

More later.....
