S3 Series

The US must select one AI mission per frame. 3 are USAAF bombers and 2 are USN TBFs.

Targets for the AI mission must be a ground location West of the operational line. Do not use the TBFs to hit Japanese AI shipping.
Remember the US gets the B24J in Frame 4 so you may want to use the TBFs in the first 3 frames.

AI missions will launch at T+30 and again at T+120. They will have a set IAS and altitude under 25,000ft. There will be at least 4 formations going together as a group. USN missions will launch near the CV task force while the USAAF missions will launch near Okinawa. All routes will be posted before the frame so escort and planning can be coordinated.

Frame CO needs to pick a target for the AI mission. The AIs will try and hit this with area bombing. Since AI bombers are not logged visual confirmation will be used by the CM to asses damage.

An example of what a Frame CO must indicate to the CM.

Please set the Carrier TF at 6,3 cross heading north at 30 mph.

AI mission is B25Js heading from Okinawa at 20000ft to bomb Nagasaki F151

From this the CM will tell the Frame CO that the first B25J routine will launch at T+30 from 1,3 cross at 20,000ft hdg N to 1,6 cross then turn into F151 to bomb returning directly from there to 1,3 cross where it will unload. Second set will run at T+120.

Frame CO can decide to use the Carrier TF or not to base aircraft(F6F or F4U). Since the Japanese cannot attack surface targets the Frame CO does not have to defend either Okinawa or the Carrier TF. Its all about protecting your human and AI strike aircraft from the IJ fighters.
