Salute! I apologize for not being able to CO a frame for at least two more. Reasons upon request, but I can help, and I always have. I like DR basic plan EXCEPT FOR HITTING a non-262 base before the real ones. A similar route we took on Frame 1 will work, as it allows our lites to do sweeps and feints and such before the buffs get into DAR and make their runs. Look at how the last frame unfolded, huh? We now need a consensus from the "staff" on how to proceed. So far, seems like we should eliminate the 262 bases, then proceed to blow stuff to smithereens. Gums submits.... |

Not my area, but I like the idea of forming behind our own lines in our own radar with our fighters close by. If you fly over the ocean you have to shuttle coverage... Kill the jet bases now! I would vote for the same setup... approach would be Lead buff choice. But I am sure that having a dtf that everyone can follow then have to reference any changes to is very valuable. |

Salute! I have no clue. I should have titled the post "Who is the CO?" As I tried to explain, I have serious duties and have to start prep now and then be on the road most of next week for family medical things ( not mine). I can still help as much as I can, and normally do. Last frame we had an excellent plan for the lites, and we did very well with the buffs. Would seem that a similar plan would work twice, if we do it right. A feint way up north might make the LW think we are going to try the North Sea route. Meanwhile, the buffs gain altitude outside of enema DAR and lites fly a few sweeps from all directions. Then the lites regroup and get ready to earn their pay with close escort and sweeps ahead of the heavies. Am I way off base here? Gums.... |

Hey Allied Buddies: Everyone seems to be in agreement to: 1. Take out the 262 bases for primary target of bombers. 2. Make ingress route behind our front line as we did in the frame one. Would the following route would be acceptable? If so, we need to have a DTF created for it. I can create the recon photos for the bombers. Basing: Was the basing of our forces sufficient in frame one? Should there be any changes? Can we leave them the same? 1. Night Stalkers: Field M107 2. Nomads / Raiders: Field LAF 1 3. 23rd FG: Field M25 4. 352nd FG: Field L27 5. 4th FG: Field M12 Missions: We know the mission of the bombers, but what changes should we make for the missions of the rest of the force? Results from the last frame: Axis: Closed M23 (15 points) Killed 2 bombers (10 points) Killed 3 C47s (9 points) Killed 6 fighters (6 points) Allied: Closed L88, L75, L71 (45 points) Killed 4 ships (20 points) Killed 3 Me262s (12 points) Killed 7 Ju52s (21 points) Killed 26 fighters (26 points) Possible Mission thoughts: 1. We will get the fighter kills again by just protecting the bombers. The 352nd and 4th pulled down approximately 26 points for the home team. 3. We should focus on killing Ju52s and ships with our strike forces. The Night Stalkers were very effective in killing ships and picked up 20+ points. 2. We should protect our fields and deny them base closures and C47 / bridge kills. The 23rd did outstanding job bringing approximately 33 points home. What do you think? Possible Axis Targets: 1. L26 (Includes shipping) 2. T34, T36, T51, T43 (Includes Bridge Spans) 3. C47 Ai paths 4. Others? Frame 1 Axis Basing: (55 pilots) JG77 - L56 (109) (5 pilots) JG51 - L56 (190) (10 pilots) 69th - F70 (Me262) (2 pilots) Knights - F70 (Me262) (12 pilots) TK - F56 (109) (4 pilots) AE - F88 (109) (4 pilots) Haze - F68 (190) (6 pilots) VF-211 - F68 (190) (2 pilots) 127 (416, 417) - F71 (190) (10 pilots) ****Closed**** Will they utilize the same bases for frame 2? Where would they rebase after frame 1 results? Is there anyone that could run GCI for frame 2? Thanks <S> |
