Hey Allied Buddies:

Everyone seems to be in agreement to:
1. Take out the 262 bases for primary target of bombers.
2. Make ingress route behind our front line as we did in the frame one.

NOFLYZX will create a DTF for it. I will create the recon photos for the bombers and post them here in this post.

Image

RP time T+75

Basing:

It would be good if the fighter groups utilize the forward TAC fields during the initial 60 minutes of the frame. This puts all of you at the front line waiting for the enemy.

Fighters:
L26 - 4 steps of 4th FG (The 4th will use L26 covering from L26 to TAC34. Protect the supply routes.Cover T36, T35 and T42 and the bridge spans near T35.)
M24 -3 steps of 23rd FG (Cover T34 and T36 and both nearby bridge spans.Cover M24, T42 until escort fighters leave, then resume patrol between T51 and T35.)
L27 - 4 steps of 352nd FG (Cover T42, T43 and T51 and the bridge span near T51. Cover T43, 2 bridge spans and C47 supply routes.)

Note: The Axis have 4-5 penalty planes. We are thinking that they will have to land them at one or more of the following fields near the front line: T41, T45, T48, T49. Do you fighter COs think you can provide some cap over those with a single fighter each?

Strikes: Night Stalkers (2 Options)
1. MT-DEW, You have a choice of hitting Ju52s in the South (since bombers will be up north) Field T37 (Bastogne area) to L90 - L75 area.,
2. or, strike ships in the North and use base M107, again.

Bombers:
Nomads / Raiders: Field LAF 1

Aircraft / Loadout Summary:
Plane: B24J
Fuel: 35%
Bombs: 1600lbs x 8
CS: 140

Time-hack:
T+20 : Take-off and form up
T+48 : WP1 (LAF19) 21K feet; A/S:158 mph
T+75 : RP (Near C28 / Antwerp)
T+107 : IP (Turn to 82-degrees into L70)
T+109 : TOT L70 (Jog SE to line up on L73 from West at 82-degrees heading)
T+115 : IP (Turn to 82-degrees into L73, then turn to 180-degrees)
T+124 : IP (Turn to 270-degrees to line up on L72 from East)
T+126 : TOT L72 (Do .vor check for L19 - approximately 251-degree heading)
T+156 : Wheels down

Recon Photos for Bombers:

Escort Duty:
352nd FG: Field L27 (rebase for bomber escort duty)
4th FG: Field L26 (rebase for bomber escort duty)

Missions:
We know the mission of the bombers, but what changes should we make for the missions of the rest of the force?

Results from the last frame:

Axis:
Closed M23 (15 points)
Killed 2 bombers (10 points)
Killed 3 C47s (9 points)
Killed 6 fighters (6 points)

Note: The Axis focused on killing a field and our supply C47s. We believe that they will go after the bridge spans and possibly another field. The remainder of their force will be dedicated to bringing down our bomber group. That means we should cover those areas during the first part of the frame before the majority of our fighters form up with the bomber group.

Possible Axis Targets:

1. L26 (Includes shipping)
2. T34, T36, T51, T43 (Includes Bridge Spans)
3. C47 Ai paths
4. Others?

Allied:
Closed L88, L75, L71 (45 points)
Killed 4 ships (20 points)
Killed 3 Me262s (12 points)
Killed 7 Ju52s (21 points)
Killed 26 fighters (26 points)

Possible Mission thoughts:
1. We will get the fighter kills again by just protecting the bombers. The 352nd and 4th pulled down approximately 26 points for the home team.
3. We should focus on killing Ju52s and ships with our strike forces. The Night Stalkers were very effective in killing ships and picked up 20+ points.
2. We should protect our fields and deny them base closures and C47 / bridge kills. The 23rd did outstanding job bringing approximately 33 points home.

What do you think?

Frame 1 Axis Basing: (55 pilots)
JG77 - L56 (109) (5 pilots)
JG51 - L56 (190) (10 pilots)
69th - F70 (Me262) (2 pilots)
Knights - F70 (Me262) (12 pilots)
TK - F56 (109) (4 pilots)
AE - F88 (109) (4 pilots)
Haze - F68 (190) (6 pilots)
VF-211 - F68 (190) (2 pilots)
127 (416, 417) - F71 (190) (10 pilots) ****Closed****

Will they utilize the same bases for frame 2? Where would they rebase after frame 1 results?

Is there anyone that could run GCI for frame 2?

Thanks <S>

Salute!

Like the concept of ops.

Sorry can't help more - packing for medical trip next week for a family member. Sheesh.

Will check in and look at all later.

Edit:
Please confirm that "crim2_final" and "crim2_buf" are the same and the route that the buffs will actually follow.

crim2_buf.jpg is a screen shot of the crim2_final.dtf file loaded. This is the same as the route Darryl posted the time hacks for.

Please disregard the other stuff, I was simply goofing around.

Goofing around, maybe, but it shows you are a master DTF maker, sir!

Thanks for hooking us up with a great DTF.

We will rely on the Fighter COs to let us know ahead of time whether we are under attack. We may make a few slight turns here and there.
