In Frame 1 the Allied Forces went from having essentially no "plan" at all to a resounding victory with a great cooperative effort by the COs of all of the participating Squads. Special thanks to Besea-, -Gums-, Darryl and MuskyZ for pulling out a wildly successful Frame. <S>
Edit: It is remiss not to mention that NUTHIN' happens in an S3 Event without the contribution of every pilot who launches. Kudos to our Pilots!

A personal observation is that while the "CA Interface" may present the opportunity for our strike pilots to stay alive a bit longer, that it is still "experimental" and should be placarded as such. Bring back the AI wingmen which dropped when the lead did, AND on the same target.

Just a note.... dive bombing is like throwing sticks in the wind as far as AI bombs....

I did both versions last night:

As a scout I was standard login with wingmen (not the new interface) the AI bombs were nowhere near.

later came in thru the bomber interphase and chose .flitecom f 8 50 which had them follow me and try to drop bombs in the same spot. at least the bombs here did come close to where I dropped.

(I tried to get the AI to attack the ships on their own but was not successful)

just a little FYI

Salute!

Great to be able to fly, as I was still unpacking after three days of driving. I needed a good way to unwind and was happy to see Wolf and Besea and Nofly and others yaking on TS when I was downloading the sim "downgrades".

As Muskie and Cool and others have noted, the old "dot" commands still work for stuff. Maybe we can get iEN to post the latest version, but the ones I have still work for the most part ( like otto parameters that are not restricted to the CM).
++++++++++
The IJN boats were not all close to each other as in the real scenario, so Gundoc and Gums spotted a lone CV with a few escorts well SW of the other sightings. Attacked same.

Our scout missions are important because we can not lurch the strikes without tgts, right? I like the idea of using our drones as scouts if we can actually "control" the stupid critters.

later.......

If you want the old system choose the fighter login. This allows you 3 AI wingmen as in the old days but when you die you die. If you want the system with the ability to switch aircraft use the bomber login. Your choice. Increase AI accuracy or increased chance of survival. Options are always good.
