In regard to prominent GENERAL BOARD comments about the Frame 3 success of the Allied bombers, WELL DONE buffer dudes! The "Combined Arms Interface" NEVER seems to work, and IMHO should have been dumped some time ago in favor of the "old" buff log-in that allowed the buffs to select their rides, select their spacing AND also get them to drop on the intended target(s). In the case of Frame 3, the glitchy "Combined Arms Interface" both caused a significant delay to the "planned" buff departure, and in the case of MOST of the buff drivers, a last-minute change in both the A/C to be used and the load out. These happenstances "can" have a significant impact on the outcome of a Frame. To their credit, NO COMPLAINTS from the "Bomber Corps" either on the Allied Forum, or on the GENERAL BOARD. Our buff drivers sucked it up, adapted and overcame. <S> Additional kudos are deservedly offered, as the buff drivers had every reason to suspect that most of their AIs would be sacrificed at some point during the mission. In the first two Frames, the buffs sacrificed more points in the loss of their wingmen, than they were able to score with BDA or Otto, demonstrating that flying bombers had a negative effect on the Allied position. Nonetheless, they showed-up for Frame 3 duty in greater numbers than in the first two Frames and were able to pull-off their original Orders. They were even able to provide additional destroyed targets far beyond anything that could have been reasonably suspected. S3s are S3s. Long-time players don't expect a S3 Event to be like flying in the Main Arena. Most don't take their complaints about their "side's" successes or failures to the GENERAL BOARDS. Most Squads just wipe the blood off of the aircraft, suck it up, and come back for the next Frame, as, no matter what the situation, S3 Events are still the best thing that WBs has to offer. |

i agree! as acting frame CO of frame 3 i wasn't happy about the technical delays however we still came together and destroyed strategic targets that were valuable to the Germans. either the janitors take out the AI's and buff drivers go back to choosing their rides and etc... or we can just suck it up and make do on what we've got. |

To truly measure success, you must identify the extent of your foe's failures. ~GRIN~ Had I realized there was another northern V1 site (overlooked on the map), resistance to your plan would have been more substantial and effective. In any case, well done, Gents. |
