Frame 2 OCB
Operation: Whiskey Tango Foxtrot
Frame CO: Robert

<S> Allies.
After the previous battle it has been confirmed that Hitler indeed has a new weapon of terror, the V1 rockets. Several have already hit London during the night, and come morning the enemy will intensify their launches. We must stop this evil German plan or the civilian casualties in London will be of terrifying proportions.

Commanders please distribute orders to your fighter- and bomber groups, be ready all to launch at dawn at T+0.

4th FG
Field: F31
Plane: Typhoons
Mission: Repeatedly bomb ships at the 8.2 to 9.3 grid area. Also send a single pilot direct route to destroy the bridge at the 7.2.2 grid.
* Let the RCAF catch up with you, then proceed to run along the vertical 8 line to the 8.4x. From there take a direct heading SE and find the enemy ships. Drop bombs and RTB, then re-launch.
* Keep a low throttle until the RCAF joins up, then use 75% throttle until reaching the 8.4x. In subsequent strike-runs alternate bst1 and 95% throttle to target for best speed.

RCAF
Field: F32
Plane: AC of choice, suggest P-51D, Spitfire IXe works to.
Mission: Run with the 4th FG NOE along the vertical 8 line to the 8.4x, then SE to 8.3.5 grid. From there climb west and then north to join up with the bomber flight. This is to confuse the enemy and buy the 4th FG extra time. If the 4th FG is attacked, rush to their help. Otherwise proceed with high alt escorting the DR's buffs to the 8.0 grid.
* The 4th FG will run at 75% throttle (~270 mph TAS) to target.

23rd FG
Field: F29
Plane: Typhoon
Mission: Intercept v1 rockets. You'll need to split the squad up in order to cover all the ingress routes. Set you CAP away from the coastline in order to have enough time for intercept. Keep enough alt for extra dive speed.
* Recommend always having one guy in twr watching the radar for V1 vectors or incoming enemy fighters.

8th FG
Field: F21
Plane: Spitfires
Mission: Defend our ships in the 8.6 to 9.8 grid. Also be far enough out at sea in order to be able to support the Night Stalkers as they strike ships in the 10.6 to 11.7 grid.
* Have a wingpair on alert to intercept V1 rockets from F63 (11.5 grid)
* If it becomes apparent that the enemy doesn't attack our ships, then feel free to bring bombs and help sinking the enemies ships.

Nightstalkers
Field: F23
Plane: AC of choice.
Mission: Strike german ships in the 10.6 to 11.7 grid. If you are daring enough, go for a bridge hunt to take down the bridge at 10.6.9 and the two bridges at 11.6.8 (three bridges in total).

352nd FG
Field: F17
Plane: AC of choice. P-47D-25's work well.
Mission: Escort the DR's to target (8.0 grid) and back. Free ship bombing or bandit-hunting once our heavies are done for the night.

Dolittle's Raiders
Field: F1
Plane: Bomber of choice
Mission: Bomb run to finish 140/141 and secondary target F138. (all in the 8.0 grid).
* You'll be escorted by the 352nd FG and RCAF. Keep a good communication with them and inform them about any course changes.
* Go by the vertical 7 line, turn SE at the 7.4x toward the 8.3x and then use the best path toward target.

Good luck and good hunting gentlemen. The citizens of London depend upon you.

The Rules are not specific as to whether or not individual field TARGETS happen to rebuild if the field itself is not closed.

12. Field Closure - all fields closed will remain down for the rest of the series. Fields that have more than 90% of their structures destroyed will be ruled closed as well.

That makes me curious about what "finish off" F-140 and F-141 might entail.

Happy trails...

F138 is a good target. It is a V1 supply site, Everyone that is closed will slow the rate of V1 launches.

We will take the Spit IXe, that way we will stay near the bombers. If we had a really fast plane, it gives you the impetus to chase after the interceptors, leaving the bombers unprotected. ;)
