I can track the planes for each squad to make the job easier for the CO's, I will do it in a separate thead.

Changes

Filed 09 - RCAF - Spit XIV - V1 intercept primary, support squads in trouble over the channel, it is now okay to enter France. Watch Eastern V1's

Field 10 - 8th - Spit XIV - V1 intercept primary, support squads in trouble over the channel, it is now okay to enter France. Watch for the Western V1's.

Field 17 - 4th - aircraft of choice, you may want to go heavy to help close V1 sites (P47 might be good for close ground interdiction) I would like you to go with the DR as escort and/or finishing targets if you don't need to drop bombs

Field 31 - 23rd FG (just for old times sake, there is a pair of pink bunny slippers in each pilot's locker) Aircraft of choice - support the DR + Nomad, heavy is optional

Field 29 - 352nd FG - aircraft of choice - engage NME forces, keep an eye on the DAR and Dover fields, they can be attacked by NME fighters, going heavy, support other squads that need help.

All squads, it you see a V1 report position, with the red lines we know the direction they are heading.

Bomber/Strike Squads

Field 26 - Night Stalkers - will provide orders if any can make the frame.

Field 14 - Doolittle Raiders + Nomad - aircraft of choice - choice of targets (the 23rd FG is supporting you, please coordinate with them)

Target list

Primary
V1 sites 139(8.1.7),146(8.1.6),147(8.2.4),141(8.0.4.8),140(8.0.4.2)
Vi Storage sites - 138(8.0.1)

Bombers/Strike please post your routes and target info.

Any suggestions, questions, are welcome.

While obviously made for 352nd FG use, this chart should give others a good idea of your plan, Sir.

Thanks DeWolf. You can see how that could narrow the window for V1's if we cut out those fields.

Rules up and waiting on the new terrain to be updated.

Removed the restrictions on the SpitXIV. FM team has made a version for the S3 that has early 1944 boost levels. So you can now fly it over France.

Added restrictions on the LW - they are limited on initial roll with a 2 step limit for early patrol or strike at T+0. Airfields rolled as needed afterward.

Please note:
14. Improved FMs - as FMs continue to be developed its important to test drive your aircraft before an S3 event. Speed limit tolerance has been overhauled so it is now wise to test your power dives in each aircraft type. There is a fine line between overspeed warning and structural failure. For most aircraft this means do not use power in steep dives.

NIGHT STALKER update

This coming Sunday (June 5th) My oldest is Graduating High School, relatives over dinner etc so my attendance is unlikely unless "late".

Only other option is if Mt-Dew will be able to attend but he never knows until that day usually.

So I don't think you can plan on us being there in frame 1

10. V1s - V1s will fly at approximately 320-340mph at 3-4000ft along the indicated red routes toward London. Shooting them down scores points for the Allies, not shooting them down scores points for the Germans. The final launch will be by T+120.

Jabo stated that the V-1s will be at approx. 3500' AGL. The examples in the "test" arena are "sometimes" at that altitude. As all Squads will likely end up with V-1 intercept, possibly in various aircraft, it is recommended that S3 pilots give the "Test Arena" a try, if it is available. With "S3" icons, and their speed, intercepting V-1s is not easy. (In the Test Arena icon is D-11, prior to that it is a very small, fast moving dot) It can be destroyed IF you can get on it's six. If it goes past the interceptor, at D-12 or greater, visibility is limited. With no inflight radar, the various GCI operators are going to be real busy assisting their Squads in locating the V-1 rockets. Personally, I would assume that approx. 90% of V-1s launched will find their way to their targets. In the Test Arena, most do not hit targets. Nonetheless, they appear to score points for the LW. It would be pleasant to see how many points each of the V-1s happen to score. From experience in the Test Arena, it would not be difficult for the Allies to be significantly "behind" in Score before what few buffs we have cross the English shoreline.

Happy trails...

Hey BEAVER!

Looks like it's gonna be an interesting series. Thank you for your efforts at planning the first frame.

Concern: I have a MAJOR concern about the bombers not being protected more than you have suggested. As you have pointed out, it is vital that the bombers knock out the V1 installations to shut down their use by the enemy the rest of the series. I do NOT believe that our bombers are going to survive without more fighter cover. If we can survive, we CAN close down these V1 installations.

Request: Please increase the number of fighters escorting the bombers into France. Otherwise, the mission will be doomed.

Suggestion: Adding the 352nd or 4th would enhance our chances of success. (I see that you have the 4th going heavy to strike ground targets. Would be better to have them up with us.)

Respectfully submitted,
Darryl
