Here is the aircraft chart:

http://www.squadselectseries.com/events/OCB/OCBAC.html

The Axis have 40 fighters, no bombers. The 109G6, 109G14?, 190A4 and 190A8 can all carry ord.

We have 43 fighters and 11 strike/bomber aircraft.

in 8.1(2), 9.1(1) and 8.0(2) there are 5V1 launch sites and in 8.0 there is a V1 supply site.

If we can remove those sites, it will greatly limit the width of the V1 attacks and will also avoid the heavily armed sites that are in the closer peninsula, hopefully catching them off guard.

Other ideas are always appreciated and ideas on how to carry out the above idea and always welcome, especially from our bomber/strike comrades. ;)

Each squad pilot must fly the indicated aircraft at least once. The only thing unusual is the Spitfire XIV must be used to intercept V1s. It cannot conduct operations over France but stay over the Channel or England. Its supposed to be wicked fast.
V1 launch lanes are indicated now on the map. Hopefully that makes it easier to patrol for them. There are two lines of AAA and barrage balloons in England to help defend against the V1s.

Knock out the V1 storage depots and that reduces the frequency of the launches. Knock out the ski sites and they wont launch anymore for the rest of the series. You score points for closing fields and easter egg special missions. Still in development as the terrain is being worked on as we speak.

Germans will defend their sites and not conduct operations against England except for the Dover area where they can attack static and moving shipping through the straights. It is 1944 and they are almost completely on the defensive.

Good Luck.

There are (5) fighter aircraft on the list. That would seem to indicate that each Squad pilot has to fly a different airplane in each Frame. One of the aircraft has a restricted role. Each Frame Commander will have to be advised what airplanes from each Squad are available. That brings aircraft roles into play as the Squads vary in size. Sometimes there will be a whole bunch of airplanes on intercept V-1 Duty, and sometimes very few. That also means that no particular Squad will have the benefit of "experience" at V-1 intercept throughout the Series.

Hi Dewolf, note it says "each squad pilot", not the squad as a whole. The 352nd could send 3 when the 8th are on intercept duty 4+3=7 and maybe 2 when RCAF is flying 5+2=7 and when it is 352nd turn on intercept, they would have 8 pilots available. That way we would have 7-10 for intercept each frame. Your guys that flew intercept would be able to fly whatever the 352nd was flying while they were on intercept so the whole squad would be a whole unit for 2 frames. I might get the 4th to put 2 guys with RCAF instead of you to keep you as a whole squad for 3 out of 5 frames. Hopefully, if we kill enough supply and V1 sites, the smaller squads could do it on their own. Will need to evaluate after each frame.

Another option is to have the 8th & RCAF run together and have the 352nd split for frames 4 & 5, you can still engage in some air to air action if no V1's are present but the LW is over the channel ;)

A third option is still open, have no one in Spit XIV in frame 5 and intercept the V1's in another aircraft. I was able to run them down in Spit IXe's, which is the slowest of our aircraft.

While certainly not be best WBs pilot, after an hour of trying in the Spit IX, the best I could do was get "close". That was just before the 5000' vertical warp in about 1 second. Additionally, that was with inflight radar available to assist on the intercept course, and with a significant altitude advantage on the doodlebug. I would forward that without the Arena available for practice each week, the "new guys" in the intercept business may have some difficulties. Of course, that assumes that there is a V-1 progie running during the week for practice AND that the Arena is available for flight. It "could be" that the additional speed of the Spit XIV may alleviate this problem.

There are (5) listed aircraft in the inventory. All aircraft must be flown. EACH Squad pilot must fly a different aircraft in EACH Frame. Each pilot can only fly one aircraft in any one Frame. There are (5) listed fighter Squads. So, it would be possible to "combine" groups on V-1 intercept duty and accomplish the ability to not fly the Spit XIV in Frame 5. (The Spit XIV is restricted to V-1 intercept.) All Squad CO's are going to need an accountant on staff for this Series.

why make this series so complicated? If I understand correctly, the spit 14 can only be used in a strict V-1 intercept role? What is up with that? If attacked it can't defend itself or engage an enemy fighter?

Also, the P38 removed from the A/C table? And P51 high alt performance porked? Personally I don't care for the must fly every plane in the table. Pony squads would like the option to fly their primary rides at least a few frames. Sorry I'm beginning to think this may be a good series to sit out.

.....Got that off my chest :)

The Spitfire XIV can do anything it wants over the Channel and England. Not over France.
