A lot of tower sitting and stooging around over the ocean but we eventually got a very organized strike, closing F217.

Ae/8th knocked down 4 targets and KoN cleaned up the remaining 16.

KoN held south of Malta until enemy was egressing and the fighters kept up a spirited defense and pursuit of enemy bombers.

We lost some boats and some targets on Malta but our bombers were untouched I think and we gave them a hard fight late in the frame, meeting them with superior numbers.

Excellent job by everyone in sticking to the plan, executing the directives and staying flexible and cycling at Malta during a confused, massive furball northeast of the island.

However the points shake out, I think it was an excellent frame and an enjoyable one even though we spent 80 minutes before any kills.

Seemed to work out well Dawger. It was sure strange to be in a fighter formation of 30+. I felt very safe as I was in the middle, even some higher and some lower.

Closing 217 should limit their strikes on our Eastern shipping as they need to come from farther away now. ;)

Dawger,

I wasn't sure how things were going to turn out but damn if it did work! WTFG! We closed F217 and only had 1 fighter challenge us and it was quickly dispatched by Besea.

I was a great plan and well executed and we didn't lose a single bomber..

Nice job Hawk and Knights.

Now to see if they keep 217 closed.

Frame 4 plan will be based on this..

This is from the Game Rules:

"13. Field Damage - all field damage will remain down for the rest of the series. AI drones do not log their damage to structures so it is up to the CM to review damage at each target to make sure carry over damage is counted from AI bombers. Some will be missed due to the difficulty of some structures not having a damage state when destroyed." ;)
