S3 Series

This is how I think we should deploy the fighters:

1 Group - Embedded with the Libs;

1 Group - hunting for AI's at enemy territory;

1 Group - Defending our frontline at Europe.

But my questions are:

a) Due to the value of our buffs should we dedicate 2 Groups for Buffs escort (sacrificing AI hunting?)

b) If 3 "separated" fighter groups - Who want's to to what? (I want everybody to have fun, so if your group prefers one mission, please advise.

I did some testing with the a/c available for this series and here's what I got:

P38L - 2x150Gl DT's = 108min of fuel - 62min once the DT's are empty;
P51D - 2x75Gl DT's = 142min of fuel - 91min once the DT's are empty;
P51D - 2x108Gl DT's = 164min of fuel - 91min once the DT's are empty;
P47D - 2x150Gl DT's = 131min of fuel - 72min once the DT's are empty;

So I believe the 23rd can use clean P38's
352nd can use P38's with 150Gl DT's
4th can use P51D's with 75Gl's DT's (buffs should take 120min to the targets and back)

Make sure the 38 drivers have experience or we will lose them fast!

I'd say big droptanks on p51Ds, fuel is free and you never know wether or not our buffs will be delayed. Once in combat we drop them anyway
