OK, yea I just wrote a summary in the CO AAR but wanted to put my own summary here, frankly because it was a first for me.

I sat in the tower until aprox. T+100. When I saw the hoard of IJ coming straight down from the north. Knowing there was no one else around, the 352nd were beating feet to get there, I figured I might as well go up and see what happens.
I jumped into a F4U-4 and headed into the wind. I thought I would have gotten shot down before I got off the boat but luckily didn't. As I started to extend to get some speed up, the buffer started to light up with 352nd kills. then Hawk snuck in and sunk a CV. I turned back to face the enemy. Everywhere I turned there were (3) 352nd guys on everything flying. I was zig zagging all over and finally saw a plane sneaking past a couple of 352nd guys and turned and blasted away, well maybe I cut off a 352nd guy or two, not sure. And blam! down went Dawger! This being my 2nd real kill in the S3 (2nd unarmed plane I shot down) I was pretty excited and went looking for more. There wasn't a lot left by this point So the 352nd were circling west, I headed east and stumbled across a flight of Ju88's sneaking in from the east. My 1st pass I took out 2 AI and then turned around and took out Hawk with a maneuver kill!
My first multi kill night in the S3! Up until Sunday I only had 10 kills over the last 7 years! And I had 4. Boy I wanted that 5th kill but someone on DAR announced there were no IJ in the air
Well, I headed north to find some static boats and Jman and I killed the two boats at 116 I then headed west to find the remaining 2 DD's that the DR didn't finish off. I usually wouldn't attack a DD without bombs or rockets but figured it was a long way back to the CV and I really haven't practiced my CV landings so thought what the heck. I found a smoking one and dove in on it. The first pass I managed to get 2 secondary explosions. Usually that is the sign its going down but it didn't go so I went back for just one more pass. Right about then Jabo txt'd that I had 3 min. left for attacks and Boom, my engine was on fire. So I dove in and blasted away but couldn't get the kill message. (I sure wish Jabo unloaded the AI at the end of the frame).
I had a blast. I can see why the fighter guys like doing that so much. My goal now is to get one more kill before the end of the series to be an ACE in a series. Of course it wont matter since I died and probably will again, but I am going to try.
