The arena is still locked so I did some flight testing offline. Hopefully, my results will pan out on sunday.
Task Force 1 (CVs in 4.4 block)
352nd (corsair of choice)
Dolittle Raiders (TBF-1C)
DRs recommend 100% fuel + 500's. Your target will be the dar station at 173 and the field (pending results of dar strikes) at F172 (Konan field). If you have extra ord, you can drop it at F171 (Kochi) as it probably has some high value targets (Link is still down). 352nd has escort for you and will possibly be joined by a second group depending on the Japanese reaction. My initial suggestion would be to go in NOE until killing that dar but use your own judgement.
Task Force 2 (CVs in 7.6 block)
4th FG (corsair of choice)
23rd FG(corsair of choice)
Nightstalkers + Nomads (TBF-1C)
The experts of the sneaky stuff are tasked with destroying the dar station at 174 and 134. Targets will be @ 50 and 55 miles away from initial launch. When both are down, you have authorization to attack any shipping you see with a rising sun flag
The 4th and 23rd are charged with CAP of TF2 but this will change as the night goes on. Be advised that TF2 will be in Japanese DAR coverage until @ crossing the 6 line moving S. Keep below dar if possible N of the 6 line to avoid revealing the Task Group.
Gentlemen, I know this is a pretty restrictive plan but I hope to accomplish 2 things. First, this opens up the whole southern area of Shikoku enabling following strikes to penetrate close to the Japanese coast without being detected. Second, the Naval Operations Area rules restrict us from mixing heavy bombers and Naval strike in this zone. Follow on frames should have a great advantage if we can get this job done in frame I.
As always, I'm open to any input/advice you gents may have. After all, I'm only sub-human
