It appears that "indicated fields" are the ones with stars around them?

I can't seem to bring up the radar layer on the map. Is it available?

Radar circles are NOT among the selectable tabs on the PDF.

I suppose it doesn't matter. The positioning of the radars do not provide any holes to help the bombers. We're going to have to rely heavily on fighter cover to get to our targets. The flak concentrations can be avoided, at least.

Thanks, DEWOLF. <S>

In the past......(now there's a dangerous statement)....

As soon as one crosses the English shoreline headed East, you paint on radar. There WAS a "northern route" which kept aircraft off of radar for "longer" than some other routes.

Rules:
•Radar – 40 mile radius, coloured dots, inflight arrow. Minimum alt is 500 ft.

EDIT:
Graphics from a previous Series showing radar removed to avoid confusion. See post below for perimeter radar coverage.

Salute!

Yeah, northern route looks like still there. 40 mile grids, right?

Might be good for one buff run, but Axis usually have a scout or three up there from past experience.

It's a long run, but might be worth one try if we have escort - close escort!

The map that is provided for this series has the Allied forces with fields in France. The bombers only get to use L26 and L19.

We, the bombers, learned the last time we were in the ETO that there really was no easy way to get to the target. We'll be on radar and we better be very high, have a tight formation, and have lots of fighter support.

We know why we're here. We are fighter fodder. Haha. This is a fighter's dream come true. That's OK, but we, the bombers, just ask that whatever the plan entails, the fighters stick with us.

This chart only attempts to depict the perimeter radar. Once over Europe, just assume you are on radar.
