Jabo told me Darryl has assured him of 24 bombers

I was thinking of sending 2 steps of bombers (12) from 138 to hit 110-111-112, field, port and Major Supply Depot. I was thinking that the 23rd would lift wit you and AE+8th would lift from 117 and also provide escort. If you go NOE over the water and come from the North you can hit the field first, if you close it this frame it will be closed next frame which will make it easier to destroy the Port and Depot on Frame 2 if you didn't finish them on Frame 1. Of course it is your choice on how to fly the mission, just let everyone know what you are doing.

Remaining bombers would lift from 86 to hit fields 78 & 79, 475 would lift from 86 and provide escort.

RCAF would lift from 117 and act as defense/backup escort depending upon how the situation develops.

We might want to stagger the attacks as the Italians have bombers and strike aircraft.

As a note, the MC200 has a drop tank and bombs, they may be able to strike dee fields on us to gain points.
All thoughts and suggestions are welcome. :)

Also one advantage the Italians have over the RAF is their MC200s can carry a useful bomb loadout. RAF have many more bombers so we shall see who can hit more hard targets.

Almost seems like we should lose this frame to get better aircraft :D

I suggest posting an incoherent rant accusing me of uberizing the MC200 to further my own bias and then get some willing accomplices to post videos of the MC200 doing crazy stuff.

And then feed your fighter units piecemeal into battle at the altitude most favorable to the MC200. It would help if you can get the MC200 equipped with weapons that vaporize the enemy but not entirely necessary.

Feeding fighter units piecemeal into the battle - looks like that one has been checked as a completed action step. :(

I am not planning losing the frame, it just seems that if we win the frame they will have better aircraft (only one of their groups) which will make it easier for them to win the next frame.

But I do need a bomber count and it seems no one has any suggestions, first time I have ever seen that. Dawger must be burned out from the last series ;)

Dawger has other issues on his full plate.

r

Yes, I have other issues to contend with.

The last series didn't burn me out. It pissed me off. Once again we got a mid series aircraft substitution to make the series "fair" when the problem was poor planning and execution on the other side.

The reward for putting in the hard work of planning detailed frames and executing them well is the other side gets a spaceship FM mid series.

So there is no point in putting in a bunch of effort.

So I am suffering from a severe case of IDGAFF.

I will leave a few words of advice that will likely make you regret asking. The other side has the 352nd (3 steps), very aggressive and practiced in the S3 ride and a superior fighter. And they have the 4FG (2 Steps maybe 3) who seem to be developing an aggressive spirit.

You need to make your bombers fly in the heart of the Hurricane envelope and tie your FG's to close escort IN THE HEART OF THE HURRICANE envelope. The only hope of success is EVERY allied fighter flying together aggressively at the point of contact. Numbers and aggression at the point of contact are ALL that matters if you actually fight. Or you must play HIDE and SEEK and hope to avoid contact and win on bomber point farming. (Nothing against the bombers but flying to avoid contact, while a worthy goal for a strike mission, is kinda dull in a fighter)

Beaver the DRs assured me they have 24 per frame or close about. That is a group of 72 bombers including the AI. Maybe to keep things simple send them after two targets and they can drop on one then drop on the second. That way you get more bang for your buck since sorties will eat up time.
Last series the Hurricanes ate up the LW, their guns were mighty and only the 109 was any match for them. Not sure with the new FMs if this has changed but Robert has a nice comparison between the two main fighters.
