Just a headsup on the DDs. You will encounter white escort destroyers(DD2s) and grey fleet destroyers(DD1s). I think the grey ones are more deadly than the white ones but will be testing this.

DD1 are US Fletcher Class
DD2 are IJN Fubuki Class

The US have 2x5", 2xtwin 40mm, 1 20mm, torps
The IJN has 3x5", 2xtriple 25mm, torps.

So the IJN has more big FLAK while the US has more light AA.

The IJN 25mm was never a great AA weapon.....

Depending on what you want Jabo I can whip up some loadouts for the DD to make them light AA heavy or FLAK heavy...

dove down on a dd and dropped bombs high.... as soon as I was in range the AA (either 40mm or 20mm) hit me directly and continuously boomboomboomboomboom the plane just came apart around me. I was able to transfer to AI wing but wont be going near a destroyer at all from now on.

This is good advice.

Do not attack destroyers unless you have fighters orbiting the DD and the AAA is already firing at them.

Get the low hanging fruit on the trees without 5 inch and 40mm thorns.

Staying away from DD's is good, but can't always be easily done. In frame 2 I clipped the water turning into some freighters. When I jumped to my wingman I was at 200' alt right over the top of a DD. It was shredded immediately so I jumped into the next wingman which was in the same position and shred, repeat. Lost all 4 aircraft in about 10 seconds

I guess if we widen the range between aircraft I would have had time to avoid the DD. I will try that this frame once we get low for skip bombing. ;)

Just out of curiosity what would be the distance between ships? Was thinking of setting line abreast. That would give the AI wings a possible chance of hitting ships in skip bomb mode, AS long as it is
over the 100 foot minimum required for wingman spread.
