Initial mission was close support strike at the airfield F181. We rolled from F190 with 4 PE2s at T+0 heading to 181 via a slightly southern route to avoid any traffic from 184/181. Goal there was to remove the radar and help with AAA enabling the DRs to ingress at higher altitudes. Houndg discoed otw to 181 with no damage. Our three remaining a/c attacked right on schedule destroying the radar array and the radar support building on the first pass. We made a quick follow up pass before we left confirming the critical radar targets were destroyed while also destroying both 40mm gun pits and 2 of the 3 88mms pits as well. Exiting the area to the SW we began a search for freighter traffic and found three freighters which we promptly sunk. We then quickly RTBed while communicating with Zippy trying to maximize the step usage at F190.

Once F190 was cleared of enemy fighters we landed and made a quick turnaround picking up our previously discoed houndg in the process. Since this would be our last trip due to the lose of F25 we decided to go deep and look for shipping in the far SW of the operating area. We wound up finding 3 groups of 4 freighters each. We sunk 11 of the 12 freighters using all of our ordinance and trying like hell to sink that last freighter with tiny mgs but to no avail...we had to leave it. We lost houndg to the extra high mast issue of the big green freighter.

On the way back to base I screwed up and flew a way way to predictable line back and we were intercepted and all shot down. That was totally my fault and a stupid move. Oh well!

Final results were 14 freighters sunk while hopefully helping the DRs with F181. We lost 4 PE2s in the process.

Salute!

Yeah, Dew, I tried to catch up with youse all, but the coords were confusing and I eventually turned back and landed after an attempt at tanks on north edge of our AOR. Seems the pee-stains had same idea and were attacking our own tanks just east of theirs, heh heh.

We old farts had good luck with the boats, and would have been nice to not having lost two to those brutal 40mm guns, and winding up with only one dinosaur to help you all.

Gums sends...

<S> Stalkers. You did a fantastic job with your assignments and being flexible. Watching all those freighters dropping in the buffer was the highlight of the night. You set a high standard and working with you is always a pleasure.

Thanks for your efforts.
