Just thought I would get this out there.

I was thinking hitting F175 would be a good spot. Lots of points.

Send ALL the fighters to the 8,5 grid (big wing it) and then the buffs, then the strikes to clean up.

If that closes and the AL obtain air superiority (with the big wing approach) second wave send in the Buffs to F176, killing ack. Anyone in a P40 or P38 could go heavy and drop on it and the strikers can try and clean up. F176 has a lot of targets so may be tough.

Option, have the srikers kill ships at 35 and 3 again. 11 boats waiting to be killed. of course the ack is a bear at 3!

one thing to consider, turnout is going to be low. The NS may only have 1~4 so the srikers may be very limited. Not sure how many UMM/Nomads will be there. Expect smaller fighter groups on both sides.

Fighter squads,
Would be nice to know what planes you have left to fly in inventory for planning and such

127 Wing has flown the Spit 5c, and the P40 F for the first two frames, leaving us the Spit9, and P40 E for the remaining three.

475FG has two frames of P38 and one P40F frame

If we big wing we will fly the P38

If we split up into a small groups we will fly the P40F

5. Squad Aircraft - each pilot must fly the aircraft listed for their squad in the A/C table at least once. It is up to the squad to decide which a\c type they will fly more than once during the series. No new a\c will be deployed for this series with the possible exception of the P40F. If it is updated for play in WB this may be subsituted for the P40E if the player so chooses.

I interpret this as the P-40E OR the P-40F count. Thusly, the 4th, 23rd and RCAF have to fly 1 frame of Spit V, 1 of the P-40's and could have 3 frames of Spitfire IX's. The 23rd has used P-40s and Spitfire V's to date.

Muskie, I know some of the guys have plans already for the long weekend (myself included) and the 23rd's turnout will probably be low for this frame.

Thank you for the quick response. I agree that the P-40E/F is just one unit, similar to the 109G6 and G6/R6 rule that allows switching without being a violation.
I feel we should use the front line planes for the remainder of the series.
475th, if we place you in a supportive role with the bombers, (P-40 with egg) and also as "close" escort this might help bring up numbers for them to close a field. If you would be willing to
fulfill this role, then it would increase both odds of success as well as supplement the excepted low turn outs for this frame.
Would like to hit them where they would least expect it, perhaps a rear staging area or field, and would have the greatest percentage of return of all aircraft involved.
Will await the "updated" map and such but just do not want to wait to long in the week for maximum planning etc.

Thank you both for your time, service and dedication to duties, as well as to all the other squads.

Besea and Mt-Dew (S) thank you also. Pretty sure all squads excepting of course the 417 RCAF which is all Canadian will be under strength, this should also include our adversaries.

NS am seriously looking at you hitting either the marshaling yards, port or a supply depot to disrupt their supply lines, actually the same for the buffs. Do not expect them to be
looking for us in the north western or western part of the map. NOE or sneaky raids in and out quick may have them for this frame boring holes in the sky.
Will have a lite squad or two meet you on egress for support in Spit 9s.
Will advise later, as soon as I figure out how to do photo recon of intended targets, and all that fancier stuff. Intel suggests that supply has at least 11 targets with only one or two ack emplacements,
marshaling yards at least 14 targets, will test later (with the S3 settings in free flight) to see if they go down with strafing capabilities.

Ports have not yet had time to look at, but point wise they are worth 15 points each, Marshaling yards (reading as railyard) are 22 points per, and the supply depots are 20 points per.

Thanks again,

Swede-

Before I say yes I would need to know what bomber, how high and how fast they intend to fly and the target.

A P40F with a bomb is very limited in altitude and speed, nearly useless as escort useless the bombers are below 15k. We will have to kick the bomb if the enemy shows up, as they certainly will for a formation that large so the bomb is likely useless.

P40's in a strike role really can't be tied to a bomber formation and should go in pairs to avoid lots of attention.

If the bombers aren't going to get EVERY fighter as escort they should go in singles from all points of the compass to avoid mass destruction.

We will do whatever you order, of course, but I won't hesitate to post a scalding debrief.

The enemy has the interior lines and can easily shift numbers to the point of contact and that is all that matters.

We either scatter in singles and pairs or go en masse in my opinion.
