Post subject: | FRAME 3 CO AAR |
All I can about last night’s S3 is it was INTENSE! I have never seen a group of buffs and lights work so well together. My plan such as it was, was to do a straight in approach with some tac turns when needed. I wanted fighters in front, imbedded and behind us as we flew our route. I appointed Noflyz as the buff leader and what a excellent job he did. Our target once again was to complete bombing Berlin and that we did. Because of the leadership and expert tactics of the 352nd, the 4th, the 23rd and our Knight fighters, we lost ZERO bombers en-route. The only buff lost was yours truly and that was mainly due to ack hitting my #4 eng. All other buffs made it back to base. I couldn't have had better guys defending us and after watching some of the 352nds videos, I know why they are one of the best. You fighters took a hard hit as they stripped our escorts away. Still what you did got us there and back and that is why we succeeded last night. With Noflyz leading the buff group and having complete control of the group, his timing was perfect in calling the tac turns. Viewing some of the Axis videos, I know this was screwing with them. Out tight buff formation was keeping them from getting through the pack and picking us off. You never know how a mission is going to turn out and I couldn't be happier with the results. Berlin is done and so is Target 37. I am sure those of us who now staying in Stalag 13 will be released soon so they can plan yet another nail biting mission against the Huns. Thank you everyone who helped planning this frame. It's always a pleasure to work with a group that has more knowledge than I do in doing these. A big SALUTE all! |

Just wanted to chime in another salute to our escorts. Though buff tuff was increased prior to this frame I would like to state that the amount of damage taken and number of pings incurred was drastically fewer than in previous frames. The LW was not able to persist in sustained attacks and this was the main reason for the good results we had. At no time was the bomber group without escorts, Well Done! |

Screencap from a JlordJ video Well, while not our favorite role (we think we can be more useful in others) somebody assigned us to close escort. So, as per CO Mr. Juice=, we were as close as possible. |

Beautiful defensive box guys. The amount of defensive fire coming from the bomber group must have been intimidating! Nice job guys <S> Hawk sir, I was assigned your guardian angel but let myself get stepped away by relentless 109 bounces. Oskar |

I saw one of the tightest bomber boxes I've ever seen. This is how it looked approaching the coast. |

Dewolf, I know it's not your favorite role, but you guys did a great job getting us there and I really do appreciate the support you gave us. Jlord, Thanks buddy and I love watching your video and monitored your voice comm and heard how disciple you guys are in not getting sucked to leaving the pack. Oskar, Now I can call you my fallen guardian angel. LOL It was that pesky ack that took my #4 eng. Thanks to Rumble for trying to cover me while I limped home. I know he had a fuel leak and he could have ran home, but he decided to stay with me and that deserves a BIG SALUTE! |
