There was nothing fun about last night. After hours planning an excellent plan by Muskie, we lifted 110 with 8 B17G's and 8 Knight fighters and headed toward our intended target. After a long flight we found our selfs being picked off with easy one by one by the Axis goonies. Our Knight escorts did what they could and not sure where our other escorts were because we were busy trying to stay alive. We saw a lot of one pass HO's taking out one or two buffs at a time.

With accurate ACK and one pass kills on low buff toughness is going to make this series long and painful.

Sorry Muskie, wish I could have done better for you.

Sorry Hawk,
I think this series, if buff tuff and otto isn't turned up, is going to have 60% buff losses or higher. Your squad did help the 2nd group go unmolested to target. I know that doesn't make you feel better but if they wouldn't have followed group #1 after the split we very easily could have had 100% buff kills.
