~S~ All, starting a thread to keep intel relevant for all frames in one place.

First off is list of industry targets.

Notice targets have been numbered in big blue numbers as found in the game map. Let's all please use these numbers for planning purposes.

I'll work on individual target pictures and an inflight version soon.

Possibly our buffers can advise how these AI bombers are going to get put somewhere "in between" the "real" bombers and if we can expect them to drop any bombs. It would be a pain in the tail wheel to protect a whole bunch of useless bombers.

EDIT:
From the Series Rules:
11. Allied AI Bombers - to simulate the bomber stream there will be several 5 plane B17 formations flying in the same direction as player bombers. They will have the same hardness as player bombers as BUFFTUFF will be 1.0. There otto will be set as low as possible but a tight 5 ship formation will be difficult to attack so conduct as realistic attacks as possible on player or AI formations. The Allied player cannot rely on the AI bombers for anything more than slight bombing help at a target location. Bomber players will also have 1 AI wingman and this ship must be set for no closer than d1 or 300ft. Our bomber and strike squads are true professionals so we expect to see tight realistic formations.

I doubt the buffers can answer that,

JABO (or a janitor minion) will make the AI buff routines, so its down to him if they work properly or not I guess.
I imagine he will be doing it on the fly once he can see where the buff stream is actually going

With all respect and infinite empathy for all the hard work by all in attempting to do all good things concerning AI.......

If I were Buffs I would not rely on AI in any way or form and not allow it to change or confuse real buffs ever and in any way.

As for Fighters/Escort we understand that buff losses in any form (real/AI) are the goal for the enemy and we (Fighters) will guard all as if they were real.
I will say though that the "Real" buffs are our #1A (as opposed to AI being #1B) concern and it will be vital that they (the REAL buffs) do as much as possible to keep us informed of the REAL location.
I anticipate this will be VERY difficult (for all) because we (fighters) often see singles or small formations and run to them immediately to protect them, in this case it may/will often be AI and we want to conserve REAL buffs FIRST.

All that being said, IF the REAL buffers tell us to protect ALL and do not favor the REAL BUFFS then I will command as such. Though that will be disheartening if a REAL buff pilot goes down while we protect AI.
(also, I know that if we protect the REAL and the enemy sees an obvious fighter presence on some buffs and not others then the jig is up, so it should not be obvious)

Just to sum up. I foresee AI going every which way without knowing where and disappearing at will then reappearing before, after and long after any escort can help giving us a difficult task at best to prevent easy kills by the enemy. I wish the Buffers to give us the straight dope on how to prioritize this and we will execute their wishes.

Who knows what the drone formations will do.

However, our buffers can take a drone wingman and that could help tgt destruction depending upon how they work/what they drop on/when they drop and the beat goes on.

Therefore, we need to find and review the drone wingman implementation, huh?

As in KT the level bombers remain in great formation, they were never an issue in that series. Any non-level a/c is a major question as they descend to bomb and then go all over the place crash into the ground and generally act like drunken cats on a electric fence. The issue remains for level bombers that they bomb often early or late and drop every bomb at once so sometimes they are short or long of the target and sometimes they are bang on but just take out one structure.
If I know the dtf speeds and routes of the player bombers the AI mbls will be pretty darn close to where the player bombers are. They will be in groups of 5 so will be obvious to spot for the enemy and the escorts. As in previous events the lead box gets the intial attack and then almost all the following attacks are piecemeal on the rear box. So I expect the AI in the middle to get slightly more attacks than the lead group.

Looks like the Big Red Box contains a wide variety of targets. Rules say that "partially destroyed targets" can be returned to in subsequent Frames.

12. Bombing Targets & Area - only the small area around Berlin indicated by the red box on the game map can have its airfields or industrial targets bombed. Each industrial target has a blue number assigned to it. To score points all structures must be destroyed at an airfield or industrial target. Each target can be attacked in more than one frame until ruled destroyed after which it cannot be attacked again. Airfields ruled closed will be destroyed and not open in succeeding frames. Berlin(C96) will be a seperate target which can be destroyed by TOT. Each frame that TOT is scored on Berlin it will be reduced from the TOT number for the next frame. Being the Nazi Capital it will have a high TOT value that will need to be targetted several times.

13. German Radar - cannot be attacked during this strategic series
