Is there an altitude you would like buffs to stay under? |

Noflyz: Note that the HEAVY AAA over the Continent goes up to 30k. It is a true struggle for those in the P-47D-22 with DTs to climb, but as long as there is time to accomplish it, it can be done. I would recommend that you overfly as FEW of the red areas as possible on the way in. Traditionally there has been a "northern route" that avoids enemy detection until quite late in the trip, however the access to that route in NOT INCLUDED on the map for this Series. |

-- If the Buffs are at 25k (or lower) it is much easier to escort than if at 28K plus. It is very understandable if buffs can or wish to go higher, but, once a heavy fighter (100% after dropping Drop Tanks) pushes an enemy below the buffs, say to 22k, it can take up to 6 minutes to get back even with buffs at 26 or 27k. We can/will adapt to whatever is needed, but a 25k (or lower) alt after initial attack by the enemy would be ideal for escort. Suggested Juice |

Suggested Juice ^^ Concur with the Prof. Full power sustained climbs will seriously cut into the fuel remaining. You do want the lites to go all the way to target and back right? |

Then 25k is the max alt we will go. |

Seems like initial orders for frame 1 calls for 26K and we'll follow that. |

-- Appreciate the question and the desire to work together. 26k we can work with (not trying to answer for all groups). (S)s Juice |

Concur, Current limitations mean Buffs are best at 25 k approx. to allow defensive fighters to get above and have some smash stored. If buffs exceed that, they are only handing advantage to the German fighters. I'm not sure what fuel you need but guestimate around 30+ mins to climb to that alt. |
