Jabo Sir!

Quick question about the buff box's

Rules state:
Quote:
10. Allied Bombers - the Allies must divide up their available bomber units/steps into 2 distinct Bomber Boxes, Lead and Trail. Each bomber box must maintain at least a 38 mile distance(1 grid approx) and 2,000ft elevation difference between them while over Mainland Europe. In between the Lead and Trail Boxes will be the Centre Box of AI B17s. As with everything WBs some allowance has to be made for genuine errors during play by AI mbls and players. But for planning purposes this is what missions must be designed around. The CM will try and get the AI to follow the exact dtf designed by the bomber lead so the three boxes will act like one large bomber formation.

Does this mean the buff's must follow the same path with one group behind the other or can they fly parallel, or complete different routs, as long as they are 1 grid apart?

If the box's don't need to be in line, can we request a flight path for the AI buffs?

You can have them follow different routes or following a general ingress and exit route but split over target. Just need to maintain the 38 mile 2,000ft separation. The AI boxes will be assigned to each player box as necessary by the CM and follow the routes laid out for the player boxes.

OK,
Question #2, How is TOT measured? Everything inside the red line or just on C96??

12. Bombing Targets & Area - only the small area around Berlin indicated by the red box on the game map can have its airfields or industrial targets bombed. Each industrial target has a blue number assigned to it. To score points all structures must be destroyed at an airfield or industrial target. Each target can be attacked in more than one frame until ruled destroyed after which it cannot be attacked again. Airfields ruled closed will be destroyed and not open in succeeding frames. Berlin(C96) will be a seperate target which can be destroyed by TOT. Each frame that TOT is scored on Berlin it will be reduced from the TOT number for the next frame. Being the Nazi Capital it will have a high TOT value that will need to be targetted several times.

Red areas are heavily-fortified flak.

Jabo,
Important question, for us geographical noobs,
What bases are in Germany?

Quote:
8. Squad Basing - each squad or bomber box must start play at their own airfield. Afterwards there is no limit on stacking or airfields. LW squads must begin play in Germany but can replane anywhere on the continent afterward.

TOT just for Berlin. Still trying to balance that properly.

Germany is basically F44 south and east. Expect the earliest LW to come to you from F44 if they scout the North Sea or want to strip escorts early.
