I'm sure break dar time would be t-25 or more. It may be a "seat of the pants" thing as the BG progresses and gets closer to a break dar eta ourselves. I am thinking a 15 min interval between your breaking dar and ourselves? Thoughts?
You guys gonna have drop tanks? or just a full tank? A bonus would be to drop 1 or two bombs from alt to literally hit anything at the front just to make 112 report damage to further "entice" them.
I know this could possibly be a tough mission for you guys to fight your way all the way to us...….but......I know you love it and its JUST the kind of work your cut out for. With the 4th and 23rd for the two bg's we would still have adequate coverage.
Its free hunt time!! "Cry havoc, and let loose the dogs of war!"

FIELD 105 Is the P-47D base.

This is the only field they are based at in England.

The D-22 and D-25 are available

Fields below have all frame aircraft available for damage, fuel, and 2nd sortie.

It would be nice if we could get a couple P38 drivers to hit the radar emitter 5 miles N of city 29. This would actually somewhat limit
their ability to see SouthWest near the 5 line. It would also call their attention to the area which might help the 352 kill a bunch of em.

To recap what is being discussed and planned:
Bomb groups stay together inbound and split with one group headed to 69 and 79
the other head East to 67 and 81, as per sleepy recommendation. After drops both would egress down the corridor between the 8 horizontal
line to South of it 5 miles.

4th and 23rd will cover the bombers inbound. I would think the 4th being larger should stay with the group hitting 69/79 as they would be more likely
to encounter more enemy. The 23rd will continue with the group hitting 67/81.

352nd should enter their radar picture somewhere near the 5 horizontal line, continue awhile before vectoring towards 69/77/79 area. If F29 radar
is killed then you will have a bit further to fly to break on their radar. A nice tight group would look pretty on their radar. We are in no hurry, the bombers will probably climb some so I don't expect radar penetration by fighters to be needed before T=30+ and more likely T=45+. I would like the 352nd to make sure at least one element
at altitude makes it to the rendezvous with the buffs. Plan fuel accordingly. Kill them as desired.

Sound about right?

Nooky,

Orders seem to indicate that we have only 4 objectives to meet on this frame. If we hit a previous frame objective in a future frame, do we still get full points if we destroy it?

As CO of frame 4, I do appreciate all the planning ideas. Setting things up with future frames in mind is good strategic thinking.

Can the P-38's land at F26 and replane to a P-47D after hitting the radar at F29? Or do they have to keep flying a P-38 after rearming at F29, and would have to land at F105 in England in order to get a Jug? I would happily volunteer to strike the radar at F29, land at F26, and then go up again to join the 4th FG in escorting the bombers. Either in a P-38L or P-47D, as the rules permit.

This can also be done by bombing the F29 radar with a P-47D, land at F26, then reup the P-47D to escort the buffs.

Understood 105 P-47D

If can will carry DTs and Bomb will have to look. If choice will choose DTs.

Understood penetration time variable, understood wish for 2 or more to arrive with buffs at sub pens with alt...... no promises.

352nd will approach and advise with route as to probable extending east to further separate enemy. If they are coming at buffs will turn sooner. If we encounter 4 or more we will attempt to wound only as then they cannot teleport to buffs. My guys may not like it but best to make them land well south and take off again........ do they get an air start in any way?

How about them CHEEEEIFFFFSSSSS!!!!!

Juice, that's a great strategy of damaging the NME only so they can't teleport... I know that's a difficult decision for a fighter jock to make. But it will sure help the mission.

robert, I would say that you need to stick with the plane you landed. - you get the 3 R's... repairs, refuel, rearm.

Kacey... I would think in real life, if an oil refinery was destroyed it would take weeks to get back online. However you can hit the one refinery that was not destroyed ( was that the one at F55?).

Also if there are any other refineries in the area of the mission targets, you could certainly take them offline as well. Maybe we need to decide how to score 'bonus targets destroyed' Or do we try and close Hamburg? Main objective is priority though.

Future targets are not in the area.
