Is that our "map" for the frame?

Rendezvous point?
Rendezvous time?
Bombers planned alt?
Bombers planned speed?

Position of Forward sweep?
Position of "heavy 38s" with the bombers?

Bombers rolling at t+0?

They have not said yet - lead buff has RL things going on and I am sure he will be getting back soon. Adaptability is a virtue. Why the 475th leadership is acting like this is the end of the world is beyond me. Last frame of the season and we already lost the war, let's go have FUN - hate to see your antacid bills! Relax!

It is a lot more fun for EVERYONE when there is a well thought out and organized plan in place.

Bomber guys get frustrated when they get flung against the enemy and the escort can't find them (Which is what happens with last minute hastily issued orders)

Aggressive fighter groups get frustrated when less aggressive fighter groups use the poor orders as an excuse to wander aimlessly (Which is what happens with last minute hastily issued orders)

Some groups take mutual support in S3 fairly seriously. Sides are SUPPOSED to be about working as a team. Teamwork requires a plan.

You have ordered the bombers in with close escort carrying bombs. You imply that the bombers will be wiped out on the ingress (inspiring leadership, I must say) so I assume that means the HIGH support groups are going to STAY high and watch the bombers and close escort fight and die (Again)

The enemy is going to come in strength and if every fighter we have isn't there in a big group fighting as hard as they can they will once again dominate.

That sounds like a bundle of fun.

I will repeat what I posted in your discussion thread

Quote:
Absolutely no point in doing anything for points. The series is over with regard to that as Jabo said.

Those that want a fight should fly together and go find one and the rest can fly a traffic pattern and log.

I have no intention of watching the buffs die and we have all the spits high to meet the enemy. I started a thread on Nov 24 for planning but not a one made a suggestion, including you. Teamwork? There were a few that jumped in late in the week privately and thus the current plan.

Every CO has input but only 2 gave did so far - sounds to me like you just want a big fur ball, which will probably happen anyway, the other CO's that have provided input felt like they wanted to win the 5th frame since we already lost the war, this plan may just do that.

Maybe offering suggestions rather than attacking a volunteer would be a better way to expend your typing skills?

Who is hitting the FOUR bridges attached to 117 in order to close it?

I made a suggestion on June 4 (Which I assume is November 24?) that we all fly together. So shut up about that.

There is really no point in trying to close anything for points but you plan to do that anyway.

Jabo said very plainly we can't win. We can only put up a good fight.

Yet you are scattering groups around going for points, strapping bombs on another group in a desperate attempt to close something you plainly have no clue what it takes to close.

The bombers are assigned a target that will be difficult to close in one pass that also has 4 bridges required. No one is assigned the bridges.

And you are doing all this with no time to fix the issues.

It was June 2 I started the thread not Nov 24 but it matters not - orders are posted

I'll be posting my reply to you and your CO in the CO forum, but in public I will say, in almost two decades of flying and sometimes leading S3's, I've never seen such bad behavior both leading up to the event and during. Just tells me it had to be your way or no way.

Whether you could win the war or not, your plan was a good one. It was like "Here take this". You hit many places and we couldn't cover them all. It's sad to see some of the comments and hope they get address before the next serious starts.
