As far as darryls route goes, remember last frame we were skosh on fuel for the mission and barely made it back to 53/54.

WEISER:
The Doolittle's Raiders will be over target F45 at T+30. We'll see how many pilots we have and will press on to F43 if we have enough to do so. Otherwise, we'll bug out right after our drop.

Thanks <S>

F4F-4, 100% departure fuel, 90% power, default auto climb, out of Henderson.

50% fuel remaining after 24 minutes of climb.
28,000 feet.
Range as indicated.

Image
6 gallons of fuel remaining flying the above flight plan indicated. 48 minutes endurance at 100% power with full fuel.

Image
Approximate Range of F4F-4 at 100% power with an initial 'outbound" climb to 28,000'.

Enemy Radar would not appear to be a factor in our planned mission.

Happy trails...

Thanks wolf!

Something to think about before todays meeting - defensive ops. It could be we will have them tied up trying to defend themselves but they are sure to have strike plans of their own.

Question

Quote:
AE and NS - 53 and 54 - escort with 352 for raiders to 45 / 43.

I am unclear as to your wishes here, and since it is outside our normal duties I just want to clarify. Do you want the Nightstalkers to participate in the strike or do you want us flying escort? (no problem with either, just want to be sure)
