This time we had the Jugs and launched from 106 with full internal and max ammo....no drop tanks. As such, we were able to climbe north off DAR and reverse above 107 to head for RV. We were slightly above and to the left of buffs as we joined up and continued east climbing. I believe it was just as we went feet dry (32k) we spotted the first LW and I cleared our "kill" flight to pursue and eliminate. They had more to our north who came our way. we managed to chase them low and then turn back east climbing above bomber alt. Dispatched 2 and damaged a couple, but lost 2 and had 2 more rtb for damage, or ammo. We managed to go as far as Bremen before rtb for reception escort. When I heard the buffs were approaching m22 on line to tgt, I launched the reception. With the airstart at 106, it was an easy run east and we met the buffs coming home as they passed r10 westbound. From there it was "fly swatting" time as the LW kept harassing the Big Boys. I think most of their losses were felt in target area and as they turned for home. We were all clear as we went feet wet, so I had the 4th head home with a coupl going to 107 to light the runway for the heavies. Big <S> to =sqtc= for frame Co... nice plan and it seemed to work.
