4th had 12 plus one guest (+bolok) for the long run to Big B. We launched from M106 at T+ 10 to meet the Buffs just south of field 91(NW of Berlin). The group climbed to 30000 ft en-route via a southern route which took us N of L26 and past 36 and 49 where we started NE towards 91. As we passed the 49 area, we heard of LW engaging 352nd up north. As we were about 90 miles south, I kept us on course and as we went by L71, we heard Buff group 2 calling cons in the area and I turned us north to try to meet them. We were unaware they were even in the area until the call. We met them near L75/78 area and swatted a few 190s away while the buffs made it to tgt and turned for home. From 29000 ft it looked like very good bomb placement as we got busy with the few 190s at a time who tried the HO runs. BG 2 kept good formation and we were able to stay with them until almost feet wet going home as the 352nd and 23rd showed up for egress escort. It was a typical escort run with long time of quiet and moments of terror. Kept us on our toes and we damaged a few LW but lost one to them after bombs away OTW home. Our good friend from Sqdn 19(+bolok) manged to get a kill in the rucus. We then landed home at M106 with about 10min fuel remaining and watched a neat flyby of a few B-17s....Buff group 2, I believe. Nice show gents. A big <S> to Muskyz for a good plan and fun night.
