Do we really want to start at T-30?

I know that gave us extra time to go with a full load to circle England and gain alt. I also know last couple of times we did this we didn't take off at T-30 and just went a little lighter.

This really depends on the targets and escorts. If we have an idea, I am sure Noflyz and I can do some time runs for us.

All the targets are deep so that is why the T-30 option is available. You dont have to use it of course or can just start a little early. TOT is important in this series so big bombs will help.

Salute!

Good grief!

We lowly buffers have to fly an hour or more each way ( if we're not turkeys on the table and get shot down early).

So then the dedicated folks take off 30 minutes before the frame begins and some stuff like clouds or field status is still remaining from previous frame.

The early takeoff option is there, but we should not have to use it except for extreme situations. My own preference is to have a few lites escort early while we grab, then RTB and be reception escort ( basic cavalry) or try to catch the grope ( unlikely). With all the bases we have, some lites could be based forward and fly, land and even fly again as escorts , huh?

Would be nice to have arena open and then log off to practice offline with the S3 settings, provided damage and weather is what the real deal shall be.

On the B24s you get the same number of bombs if you use 1000Lbs or 1600Lbs. On the B17s you can carry 4x1600s which is more tonnage than 6x1000s.

So an early start will be pretty useful given the loss of ROC the extra loads can cause us. I will do some testing as soon as the arena is available.
