Well, we had 15 of our squaddies flying in a very cool fighter/bomber formation as we flew the stormy Solomon's Islands to our intended targets. The squad lifted from the ground and quickly formed up, while specific target assignments were doled out to each one.

Our fighter support picked us up near F54 and escorted us into the enemy territory. We salute the 352nd for hanging with us.

The group would enter enemy airspace at 15K feet and begin looking for the enemy airfields that we were tasked with destroying their guns only. The first group would roll over and dive down to hit them. Then, we rolled to the second field, to do the same. Guttdu and Jeepny were the only ones tasked with hitting the third field, before everyone was asked to form up for the ride home.

We lost two aircraft. Milton said that he had lost connection, however, his a/c continued to fly ahead of the group. It was very strange to see his a/c enter enemy airspace and attract ack fire. We're not sure whether that will count as disco non-damaged or disco damaged. Furnac was hit by enemy con and it was tough to watch him going down in flame. Duckaa's a/c was damaged and had to land at F45. He lifted and flew back to F60 where he joined the group for the second sortie.

I can only imagine what it must have felt like to be on such a mission in real life. However, what we did last night surely gave us all a small sense of what those men must have felt.

We made a second sortie to hit targets of point value at F40.

Note: Last night, while flying, Gravey got word that his aunt, who lived nearby, passed away. We send our condolences to him and his family.

It wasn't me who got shot down... WB crashed during my first sortie but I got a reset from Jabo and survived and the second one.

Thank you to all one those involved in last night's frame!

Good Job DR!

Bet it was cool to be a part of a big attack like that with plane after plane winging over and diving in to attack.
Good luck next frame
