Based at 59, we took off to trail the Raiders to F45. Pappyb was late due to new update not being done ahead of time,so light and bombr had the group, while
kelly led our strikers(see his AAR). Stonie had a flight of 4 off south CV for cap. Pappyb cought up to the group as they arrived on tgt at 26k. We capped
while the buffs expended their ordinance, the kelly's flight dropped down to finish the port and close 45. 4th egressed and refueled at 54 to fly home to 59.
Second sortie we were asked to send a flight to the south CV and assist stonie's guys in case the fleet was spotted. I took horseback flight to the CV and we arrived
to refuel as 336th was launching again. All was quiet until right near the end of frame when ack was firing all around the fleet. We only saw a couple of Zekes, and light
smoked one, but we were unable to catch him for the finish. We kept chasing ack firings, but never saw any more IJN who wanted to dance. Funny how the
ack was firing low, but the enemy a/c were above 15k...never saw any Kates or BVMs on the deck.
IMHO it was a well thought out plan by =weis=, especially since he'd been away for a long while. Nicely done all.
