Just to be clear - you need P38's to comply with rules for some pilots or to satisfy desired rides? It looks like you have flown a mix of P51s and P38s in at least 3 of the previous frames. It would be better if you could all take P51s.

Just to be clear we have 10 pilots who have only flown P-51 type in the Series. They have elected to fly the P-38L to fulfill Operation Clarion requirements for each pilot to fly TWO aircraft types.

Happy trails...

OK. I saw that on S6. I also did fuel consumption back of envelope calc's and think the P38L is too risky for escort duty.

I am considering assigning your squad to homeland defense and give you L27 and primary defense of all of our assets. I will split the 23rd and with 1/2 supporting you and the other 1/2 doing penetration sweeps into enemy territory looking for formup of enemy strikers and attacks on Ju52s. The 4th will do a quick 1st sortie defending against strikers and remaining duty as close-escort.

I might have bombers delay their attacks to allow 4th to aid in early defense and to help clear the skies of loosewaffles.

I'll post final plans tonight sometime after work.

Thanks for all your feedback and plans.

Nightstalkers: Field M107. Tactical strikes on northern Axis shipping and take out radar near C29 on first sortie to provide advantage for our defenders. Please advise frame CO of current status and positions to aid in pulling-the-trigger on secondary northern bomber targets. Please provide time at shipping and rtb time for 1st and 2nd sortie for final planning.

Fooo the deepest shipping lanes will take us an hour to get there. We have to search to locate most times. We are talking one sortie here and giving you times now is difficult. If our flight otw to the C29 radar array happens to run into any low level LW intruders coming out of 44 I will order them to shadow only and provide your defensive fighters position reports so they can deal with them and we can keep our airframes intact.

I will report on color channel when the radar is destroyed. We will also keep you informed of our general whereabouts in the NE.

Cool?

Salute!

Good ideas, Dew.

I'll be in the radar shack and trying to find the Knights and the jabo lites headed our way. Will also try to follow the Stalkers if I can keep up with all the enema traffic headed our way.

BTW, the intell channel seems to be working in this series, so I can confirm the DAR going down. Otherwise, I leave the arena and peek at the site using CMEYE.

Guess I need to post a thread on GCI procedures that I intend to use, ya think? I like map references, not grid coords, as we all have the same inflight map and know the assets we must defend.
