Gentlemen,
The 352nd began at field 29 as without a CO we wanted to not leave out ships without air cover.
We knew that this would either be good or bad but had no way of knowing at the time.
In hindsight the likelihood of starting north being more appropriate is high.
We flew over the ships going north for more that 38 minutes and started to get reports of enemy nearing our position.
Altitudes of 22k up to 30k reported and encountered. There was at least a 10k gap in the top cover if not more. We chose to attack the bombers (kates?) at this time.
The separations were not only in altitude but in lateral separation south to north, thus giving us an unimpeded run at the buffs, accounting for at least 10 in this first encounter.
Low ammo and low altitude meant we needed to start for rearm and this was a bit too late as the escorts finally arrived after and we ended up in NOE fights for the next minutes.

Sortie 2:
From 29 again and to the north we were able to catch up with the enemy low and going back north with possible stragglers still coming to the ships.
This time in a mix of 339s and Hurri 1s we were able to better attack and defend with good results in the 6 kill range.

Sortie 3:
After CO mixup thinking we could not change base after initial take off we then re deployed to northern fields 32 and 12.
Here we became defenders of the areas and escort to some torpedo attacks.
2 to 4 waves of enemy were inside our attack charges and we were able to defend competently with 10 plus kills with some losses.
