Aye!

Fuggetthaskippies!

I used to drop close emulations ( nape from 100-200 feet) and that was a different beast.

Use torps and dive bomb to sink boats. Maybe use Nord if you have the "lead" distance nailed.
++++++++++
We have not had a true waterworld S3 arena to practice torps, skip bombs and other ord for 15 years or so. The online/offline practice arenas are worthless unless they use S3 settings for damage and flight models and so forth.

Just trying to practice carrier ops is hard due to lack of boats and the S3 fuel divisor restrictions, buff tuff and the beat goes on. Oh yeah, how about the most bizzare torque/yaw effects we have ever seen since v 1.10. Stoopid, stoopid. Maybe we should rename the sim "Chuck Yeager Test Arena". Accuracy is important, but latest flight models do not represent realistic planes for a personal computer, and folks like Columbo and Gums moved away from the beta team 3 years ago when our compaints were dissed. If you have to work real hard to take off using an average PC/laptop, then all the "instant action" whines from a few folks are not players. No wonder the player count is going down. Hawk even took the Knights off of buffs for the time being. UMM and 22nd and 305th and 100th went away years ago.

Sorry for the whine. and as neat it would be to use the skip bomb tactic, it ain't in the cards.

Skip bombs either work or dont work in the MA the same as the S3. Damage settings are the same etc. FMs are the same as far as I know too.

Aye!

TY for response JABO. But you miss the point.

The problem is a practice arena with real boats and real settings and real flight models and real bufftuff and real........... Only differrence should be we have unlimited lives after getting shot down or crashing. The naval scenarios are the worst for practice.

We do not have an arena that faithfully duplicates the one we use on Sunday nights!!!
