KoN AAR:

We rolled when the scramble orders came out and headed North to form up with AE/8th who were en route to bomber group.

Since we rolled a few minutes after they did, we came into the fight at 25k+ after they had already engaged. It worked out for us to move in on the bombers since by then many of the 109s were pushed down and we had an open shot at the lead bombers.

We made our pass on the bombers and lost at least 3 fighters due to collisions with the bombers, and about 4 to enemy 109s

We were able to knock down a few bombers in that engagement.

After I landed, I upped the next sortie and embedded with the AE/8th and headed South.
KoN had a late arrival in Okdoc, and he patrolled to the North where he gave reconnaissance and downed a 109, but unfortunately ran into too many and was kia.
The rest of us patrolled to the South and chased a few 109s out West back to their island base.
Since we couldn’t catch them RC ordered us back to protect Malta and we engaged a few 109s over the island, with a couple of kills and no losses.

3rd sortie, we again headed South to engage enemy 109s over the fleet.
While on patrol we engaged several 109s low in a fierce battle on the deck.
We downed at least 2 and lost 3 of ours I believe.

A couple of us were able to RTB back out to the North.

End of frame.

<S> to =Weis=, bessea and crew for letting me tag along at the end.
also <S> to rcflys for handling CO duties.
