Jabo,
Couple things I don't understand in the rules.

#1 - the rides for the navy buffs say TBF-1, TBF-1C. Is there a difference or does this mean we can use the TBF-1C (2) frames in a row?

#2 - If you get shot down in a ride, is it unavailable for the rest of the series or just the next frame? i.e. Could someone fly a F4U-4 then P51 then F4u-4 then P51.... even if they get shot down every frame?

TBF-1 and TBF-1C are TWO different planes... main difference is ordnance.

I cant find the TBF-1 anywhere. Not in the S3 or the ACE arena. The ACE has a TBD but that isn't even an option.

I would suggest if you want to run strikes from our CV.... Take The Corsair! Big Blue carries almost as much ordnanace as the Turkey, and you can actually defend yourself or outrun the IJA rides.....Great NOE option.

That might be heresy for a true mud mover, but if you want to accomplish your mission AND survive...... Axis claimed/earned 100 points by mauling our brave but defenseless TBFs last frame. Without massive escorts the slow TBFs are sitting ducks (turkeys). We can leave them in the hanger this round. :)

The super fortress can do the heavy lifting this frame.

Expect the IJA to rollout their fast and lethal KI84s for fighter cap and J2M Shidens for high Bomber intercept this frame.

Not sure if the TBF-1 is updated yet. I couldnt get it to load even though I enabled it in the plane list.

If you switch back and forth between the operations area a pilot could fly P51D-F4U4-P51D and get shot down as a claimed kill every frame. It is a light penalty and just forces the range of aircraft use.
