Need to figure out why Bomber interface doesn't have a grid reference.

Location is not heading 234, 9k, 232 gs.

Off target call would be awesome.

Don't send your AI down to strike. Second sortie cost me several of my squadron as we dove down to try to clear, yep you guessed it, AI.

Need to have a FINAL ORDER CUTOFF TIME. I re-printed the orders at 1820. THEY WERE NOT FINAL. 1905 is not cutting it. Otherwise we will just start showing up waiting to be spoon-fed as well.

S3s are not the main. Show up prepared. KNOW WHAT THE PLAN IS. If you are Frame CO and you have NO contact with your bomber group, MAKE A PLAN FOR THEM. They lose their say when they don't communicate.

If you don't bother to learn the new stuff, you will have problems using the new stuff.

Can't go piecemeal into large wing...think this is the 269th time we learned that.

Lets start making S3s a little more prepared which requires a little more effort on everyone's part. Its not fair to the Frame CO to not have inputs from his squadrons.

All good points Dobs.

Hard to give out orders when I didn't have any communication with the Bombers. If they had the 20 bombers, there would have been 2 strikes as my plan originally stated, however, only 15 flew, made me change plans at the last minute. Maybe I should have stuck with plans and you would have had about 5 bombers to escort.

Hindsight is always 20/20 :(

You shouldn't be in that position as "FRAME CO"...anyway, water under the bridge. You flexed and adapted.

i find myself agreeing with Dobs.. we cannot go "piece meal" into a big wing..

need to have better and exact grid position buff location.. i found my self turnning my squad several time through the frame because of in accurate reporting delaying our arrival

i find it utter idiotic NOT to close 110 on second run when it was 80% or 90% already down.. the answer i hear was "they know we are comming".. only to alter tgt's not 20 miles away from 110..in the process losing valuable fighter assets.. but in DR's own aar they didnt lose a buff..HMM Points and ground lost..but the enemy took 2 strikes closed our base againing points and ground.. I stike this up to inexperiance
as long as the buffs stayed above 16K the MC200's are basically ineffective .. a few escorts to push them down any in alt and the B-25's speed would just walk away from them. watching Jlords videos they was attacking buffs in the vally at low alt.. and listening to Juice= they were happy to stay at a lower alt and not come up any at all

the Hurri-1 guns are very week like throwing spit wads. if we had better guns AE's/8th. as i know the 475th 23rd and Rcaf could of really had a butt load of kills..instead of shoot a guy up with 50% ammo and watching him fly away un hurt..

so lets concentrate on better grid reporting.. and not leave indivual squad to face the Hoard alone

my two bits worth so take it however you want just my thoughts on frame 1

FYI: F110 was never hit. I wasn't 80-90% down. F111-112 was hit, but for some reason the .cmeye did not allow us to view the BDA. From the reports of our bomber pilots, we believe they were significantly damaged.

We didn't go back into the same area because that is what the enemy expected. Instead, we were redirected to F13 and F15, which were almost completely destroyed, as the .cmeye did allow us to check. We landed at F138 after minimal enemy encounter at those targets. It was our intention to make a run to F110 during our third sortie with 70 minutes left before the end of the night. It was our understanding that we would have had to up from that field in order to make another bomber run, as has been the case in previous S3 series. Unfortunately, the field was closed before it was clear for us to take-off.

"Idiotic"? Inexperience"? You must be kidding, right?

YOU CAN'T CMEYE IN THE S3 ARENA!

And please don't send any AI down to strike...and if you do, let escort know so the don't do something stupid like dive down to try to clear them.
