We lifted from F82 with 6 pilots and headed NOE to attempt to cover the invasion fleet in the 6.1 grid. After a lengthy flight trying to avoid the coast watchers, we arrived in the vicinity of the invasion fleet only to find that it was already under attack by P 40s of the 475th, and 100th fighter group. We discarded our bombs into the ocean and began engaging the enemy. It was not to long however we found that there were at least 15 to 20 enemy cons in the area, and they quickly began to dispatch us. One victory was recorded, but we lost 4 or 5 of us to this action, and one to a friendly fire incident.
Two pilots upped late with one downed over the 91 area, and one who was able later in the frame to dispatch two C-47.
Sorry Sakai, for not being better able to protect the fleet. With the others being based back further and the fleet in such close proximity to the enemy fields, we should of held up and awaited a better opportunity to attack. Please advise Yamamoto that the next time he wants to send an invasion fleet, to please have them in better location to be defended :)

Sorry I didn't make it Sakai. Some idiot knocked over a pole and the cable lead that was going underground at that point got hooked on his car and he tore up 900' of underground cable before he hit another pole and stopped. They started repairs at 7:00 pm Sunday and finished at 4:30 pm Monday :(

~S~ RCAF!

Thank you for your efforts! As I wrote a moment ago in the AAR, I should have added additional support for you all over the fleet.

I extend a ~S~ to Yukone for his independent work in the aftermath.
