Beaver, a big salute for a great opening!

We were tasked to hit F96 from F52. Knowing this was going to be a long ride, I decided to allow our escorts to take the Zekes this time. With 11 G4M1's and 7 Knight fighters we lifted and headed toward our attended target.

After several jokes and songs, we were met with our other escorts and this was a relief. Swede ask if they should go forward and clear the area and I gave him the green light and that was a smart move. Thinking there was no way the allies would know what we were going to hit was wrong, they were there waiting for us. After some tense moments and with only 2 bomber loses, F96 was declared closed after a ruling from Jabo. We did lose 2 bombers due to discos but still was able to close it.

I called the RTB and home we went. Our fighters were less fortunate. We lost a lot in the battle for F96 but the rewards were well worth it. Those that made it back to F52 were in for a another big surprise.

After landing, Beaver asked if we could go back to F97 and close it. So, with Docg our last fighter and Sentai 127 watching over us, we decided to go in fast and low (10k). Upon arriving to Goodenough we were attacked again by those pesky Allies. Daworm was able to down 4 of them before falling to their bullets. F97 soon was history and I called the remaining groups to RTB to F80.

I continued to F102 in hopes of destroying some more targets but with my AI splashed my 250kg were not able to destroy the buildings. I continued to RTB to F80 and stand down with the rest of the group.

I was an intense evening but were able to get the job done. Our fighters seem to be frustrated seeing their rounds hit with no effects. Overall, it was a good night and great beginning of the series.

<S> to all those that protected us and got us there.

Ni!
