Knights who say Saki - F52 Nomads and Mud Movers - F63 (I figured I could add the one Nomad to the Mud Movers and he can help explain how the S3's work) Sentai 352 - F80 Sentai 6 - 79 & 81 Sentai 127 - 82 All of the fighters are up front this frame, they will pick up escort duty as the bombers get near the NME terrain. They are also available to defend the Trial (78-79) and to hop into AI escort role. If 96 is open for Allied Operations, I would like that closed quickly, it would make our shipping and Western bases much safer. I would assign that task to the Mud Movers and Nomads, with Sentai 127 covering. |

Beaver, The Nomads having been hanging with the Knights but this is up to you. They typically have 3 to 4 pilots depending if Gums can fly. |

Sounds good noflyz, he's a good man. I'll send out an email stating that the Nomads will be attached to you all then. Orders, we need orders. Good luck buddy! <S> |

~S~ Beaver-san. My ni yen. Maps of Port Moresby, Goodenough and Milne with high target point values shown. Of course there are additional area targets that can increase the total point value of the target. Jabo said in the F96 thread (emphasis mine): jabo wrote: Yes it is. Everything you see in the KTmap is open for operations. There are good points at the three docks out there too. Remember if you close a field it remains closed only for the next frame not the entire series. So if you target the three fields in the SE and close them they cannot base any a/c there for frame 2. Some airfields have many objects and some have few so its important to recce your target selections first to see what is possible with the G4M1. The AI for the SE will be Vals and Kates and they will do some damage. From a points perspective, we should heed and take caution that a field is closed for only subsequent frame. Comments below are based on the presumption that the series map would stay in these areas. It is possible and probable that we would move to other local areas in the New Guinea map for this series. Strike Objective - Port Moresby and Territorial Defense - Buna Area Port Moresby - Many points to be had here for the Strike guys. Fighters will have it harder as Allies with damage can land everywhere, very much like our advantage over Lae. Buna Area - This area will see significant fighting and would be my first target if I was the Allied commander. Target the Artillery along the Kokoda Trail first for easy points then move into the Buna area targets. The Buna area is vulnerable on two sides. If these fields close, we fly from Lae. Strike Objectives - Goodenough Islands / Milne The Goodenough Islands are a tempting target to rake in 54-66 points up to three times. Milne is a trap if attacked prior to the closure of Goodenough or Port Moresby. Buna Area - The Buna area is vulnerable on two sides. If these fields close, we fly from Lae or New Britain Is. Territorial Defense - Lae [tired - will post more on Lae tomorrow] Territorial Defense - New Britain Island The field closure rule allows for these fields to be hit as many as three times this series. And if heavily damaged or closed, this could be the difference in points for the series with more than 100 available for the Allies. See Goodenough Island for how the closure rule works for us. |
