AORs defined-groups assigned to respective areas.

AE's first to engage to North. Needed help, directed 23rd their way. Never heard if that was successful received or followed.

475th and LF =6 (TKs) in Western AOR engaged S Port 67. Yaks and TU-2s with AI sprinkeled in.
475th took a beating from AI gunners, collisions, and yaks.
Combat non-effective after that engagement.

Eastern AOR had low strikers and fighters early...and LF-6 engaged. Losses and kills...unsure of status there.

Was not getting reports back from squad leads, and in future will ensure everyone is aware they need to report engagement, RTB's, and rerolls to Frame CO (at least when I'm COing) so as to keep SA up on available assets.

We ended up watching a 10+ group march West....ended up all fighters. Game plan was to have Hi 109s be able to scout them...but we didn't have any high enough.

Rest of the frame was cat and mouse, with one large furball E F1...LW fighters entered piecemeal and were always outnumbered.

Several squadrons went combat non-effective after this engagement.

AI killing continued, but buff tuff was at 2 and gunners had dialed in the accuracy it appeared. Several 475th were morts from AI tail gunners on the IL-2...

Lost at least 6-9 freighters, and 5-8 AI....as well as closed fields getting reclosed F256?

Not sure if the killing outweighed the deaths....will have to see.

The AI gunners were extremely accurate and deadly. I took engine hits on two separate engagements and had to break off before finishing them off. Fortunately I was able to get a safe landing at a field both times. The IL2s seemed to take a hell of a lot of hits before any damage was visible. On our last engagement around F1 and F220 LF6 was highly outnumbered but two or three of us managed to pull off hot landings but were then unable to roll due to large numbers of aircraft in the vicinity.

Unsure of the number of kills and losses in the early engagement but I believe we killed more than we lost. I saw several AI and live pilot victories in the buffer.

Good lead Dobs. <S>

Jabo posted up that the accuracy and engagement range of the IL-2s never changed..just the damage it took to kill them.

However, if I go back and look at the IL-2s I engaged early on...pretty sure they were not near as accurate or hard hitting.

Ah well...reckon I just engaged dead eye flight of IL-2s this time vs newbie flight in the past:)

127 wing engaged almost immediately at ports 46 and 47, unfortunately it was the 352nd, and several losses were recorded with no victories. Did post on county channel engagement plus help was needed. They egressed west, where they began engaging IL 2 AIs for the remainder of the evening. We dropped some, lost some, however it appears that -deak- of 416 is reporting 13 kills in his AAR, 3 human, the rest AIs. Will need to review S6 when it comes out. Your plan was solid, but with the numerous losses early on, ( at least 4 of the 10 pilots lost in the first engagement) we did not become very effective for the rest of the evening.

Thanks for lead and detailed orders, will try to do better next time. <S>

And Wildcat had 5 humans and 4 AI's.

After the first engagement, nothing was happening along the South East coast, I changed stations to keep them in sight.

Its probably a function of the 190 versus 109 damage modeling. The 190 engine absorbs a much higher level of punishment while the 109 (and several others) get oil leaks way too easy. Another project to work on I think.

First engagement the 23rd was North continued to grab Alt, near field 67 over the water we engaged with the AE's. I sent in our 75th element who instantly was in the swarm the rest of us dropped alt and knocked out some LA5s and Buffs. We rallied to field 133 and posted our RTB field 28 to refuel and arm. Second engagement was near field 88 heading northeast, we made contact and pressed the YAKs to low fuel state which made them RTB. This was stated on the channel, our job was to push fighters and keep them away which was done without a loss on our part. 23rds final flight was the large encounter at field 220 and east, we knew this was going to be a bloody battle and followed orders to vector that way. We engaged over and over the enemy held a good fight to the end, we encountered LA5s and YAKs. We had oil leaks and other badly damaged aircraft most made safe ditches. After that we had no choice but to stand down for the night. It was a fun frame and good job Dobster! <S> to all the Axis this series!

Congrates to fooo with 4 kills in a frame!!!

Thanks Hitman! Saw you guys head toward AEs...probably missed engaged comm in the buffer...

Think in the future what I'll do is have a tac channel where everyone can tune to...GCI on country, and responses in tac channel...

Might be a bit more easy to sort it all out for the Frame CO...who is looking at Dar...trying to type and read:)

Lots of action for all I believe...

Lets see how the points stack up...
